I have reservations in Sept. at the Poly with the CODE. I called to see how much it would cost to add a day because I got a good price on a flight. The guy at CRO did some typing and said "Yes, it's available!" and gave me my new total. He quoted me over 1,400.00 dollars more. I said "Wow, that is a big difference!" and he said, "Well, you added a day." :rotfl2: Needless to say, I told him thank you for checking but I will just leave my reservation as is. :rotfl:

I called yesterday and had something similar happen---I wanted to add 1 night on to our trip-we have no code- at the WL--The price for that 1 night alone added $700. EXCUSE ME? What room would that be????? I questioned him and he had to put me on hold to figure out that it wasn't right. DUH!

But adding that night may take you out of the season you are in if it is at the beginning. Or if there is no longer availability in the view you are at not only are you talking the adding of that night but the increase for all the nights since it will rebook your entire package for the rate of that one night. if you have booked standard an no more standard rooms are available you will have to move up to waterview for the whole thing. While I find it hard to believe that it could make a 1400 difference, I think I could see it making a 700 difference. The 1400 probably meant to add the day the op was going to lose the code.

Beth nailed it.. adding a day to the start of your vacation -- can put your booking outside the offer dates.

And as Beth also correctly points out - it may be that the resorts where you are booked have no more rooms available on this offer.

Beth is smart. She knows everything! ;)

I was adding on Sept. 22, so I am still in the same season. I think it was taking off the code, that is the only thing that makes sense. Anyway, it just made me laugh. :lmao:

Hope I'm taking that correctly as a compliment lol. We can start our own mutual admiration society of people who have way too much time on their hands delving into all the little nooks and crannies lol. I cant believe all the work you put into your posts...mine when I look back on them often sound like a bunch of gibberish.

I needed to book an extra day because of a great airfare but we just booked 1 AAA rate night at the POP and move to the Poly the next morning. Our flight doesn't get in until 7P. It was 73.80 total. This is for Sept 25 and our package starts Sept 26:)

It absolutely is a compliment.. you took it correctly! There so few calm voices of reason sometimes that when I find one.. I like to encourage them.. :cloud9:

CanadianGuy you seem to have as much of a life as I do. I am on a 6 wk leave after hand surgery and my family is just rolling there eyes at me now. My DD says are you on "that board" again? I have not accomplished any of the projects I had planned with my free time but I have booked a wonderful trip. I have made spreadsheets, written in my Passporter and have a preliminary plan for parks and restaurants.:)

Well, I certainly appreciate all the time you ALL have put into these thoughtful posts...cuz I spent one whole snow day going through them all in order to fully research THE CODE and how to best utilize info. And I booked a room-only rate in December at $49 per night for a value, and darn it, I am tres excited about that!

Based on that, Canadian Guy, I will fully support your run for president ... law degree or no law degree, and Beth can run on your ticket! :lmao:

Thanks again.
