As I have stated on a couple other threads, I am planning to go to Disney Sunday to Saturday, 6/22-6/28. I wasn't too concerned about the whole FP+ thing, since those people staying onsite get 60 days advanced planning. However, a thought occurred to me...you really get more than 60 days because the first day of your trip is where the 60 days begin.
So for example, for me, I will actually get 66 days advanced planning time to pick what I want to do on 6/28 since that is the last day of my trip. This is true, right? You get to plan every day for your trip at once and not each day 60 days in advance.
So, because I definitely would like to do the Frozen meet and greet the night of the Sunday we get there, I am concerned that all the times will be full because of the people who have already booked anywhere from 2 to 10 day trips starting the days before I begin.
This would really suck. I have a plan I want to stick to and not doing it that afternoon/evening would force me to shoehorn it in later, but I also wanted to do this first, as a great "start of the trip" kind of thing.
Also, with regards to the other hot item, Toy Story ride, I want to do HS on Monday and so how much will be left from the people who booked from between 3 and 10 days previous and who already chose their times for that ride on that day.
On top of all of this is the fact that MK on Sunday and HS on Monday will likely be crowded since they are late magic hours nights for those parks...but that's why I planned them that way.
So basically, my entire point is that 60 days really isn't 60 days...both coming and going...meaning it's more for you later in your trip but less for you earlier since many other have already picked their times for those days. I think it is safe to assume that whatever I want to do on Friday and Saturday will likely be open, barring a million 7+ day trips being planned. But for those first couple days, for the hot things to do like Frozen/Toy Story FP+, I may get shut out.
