is Pirates still open did you hear of news its closing we go 10/8/05 and are hoping the rumors arent ture for when we are there?

Hi Huckster - where did you pick that up at? Did it say for how long it was purported to be down? We're going in Nov. and I would hate to think that both PC and HM would be down at the same time.

We rode Pirates on Thursday and it looked pretty intact... can't really update you on what's to come but it is definitely there now. BTW for anyone contemplating the ride - my kids both liked it and my 2 year old is kind of wimpy about noise and scary stuff, so I'd say "do it!".

We rode it last week too. However I was sitting next to a couple waiting for the parade on 9/30 at the MNSSHP. They were stuck on the ride for over 1 hour. The lights came on, they all had to climb out, etc. Not sure what that was all about, but it was working for us 2 days before that.

Just looked up Mousesavers, allearsnet, and Disney and couldn't find anything about POC closing or scheduled rehab. Just found beginning of Nov. Haunted Mansion for a couple of days

I rode it during our 9/23-10/01 visit. When I took the Magic Keys Tour I asked about it going down. Heather confirmed that it would be coming down for repairs but couldn't confirm dates.

Do you think they would have both POC and HM down at the same time (on purpose that is)? I can't imagine they would do that.

We were waiting for it at MNSSHP and it broke down so we left.

We just got back and it was open as of yesterday...

Rumor board mentioned they were going to shut down sometime next year. they were going to revamp it to show some scenes from the movie and add captain sparrow.
