Those that are there now

For the weather you can look at Accuweather. com and it will tell you what the current weather and weekly forecast is. As far as crowds remember that with the Star Wars opening in a few weeks, this time next year may be crowded since it will still be a new place and summer vacation season will be in full swing. I have been watching Tim Tracker videos of Disney he filmed this past week and he was saying how crowded it is because it is the peak of summer vacation season. This guy practically lives at the parks so if he says its crowded i believe him. Plus the free dining stays started May 28 - Aug 21 so that makes it crowded too.

We returned on Wednesday. It is very crowded. Waits for attractions like Small World/Pirates of the Caribbean/Jungle Cruise without Fast Pass were 55 minutes or so. At Epcot the waits didn’t seem as long - for Spaceship Earth it was about 20 minutes without a Fast Pass; I didn’t check the wait times for Soaring or Test Track w/o Fast Pass. At the American Adventure and the pavilion in France all the seats were taken, something I haven’t seen in a while.

Waits for counter-service restaurants at Disney Springs were pretty long as well. We only had a 30-minute wait at Homecoming for lunch (I hadn’t been able to snag an ADR ahead of time); we considered that pretty decent.

We only visited the MK and Epcot, so I can’t report on how crowded the other parks were. The day we arrived (Friday, 8/2) it had been raining on/off all day and it pretty much continued after our arrival as well. It rained every day, but not all day, for the rest of our trip. The dew points were in the 70’s; it was very hot, muggy, and uncomfortable. We were grateful we could take mid-day breaks and head back easily to our resorts (BRV & CR).

We returned last Sunday. Pack your patience, rain gear and sun screen. It was crowded everywhere except Epcot. Rained every afternoon. We did our 3 FP every day and pretty much said that was enough. We spent a ton of time in pool. Hours each day. Last day we said forget it and skipped the parks for the pool. So relaxing.
