Those of you who have ordered a cake at the CR..

I need your help/advice! Please!

Let me say that I have read through all the cake threads...probably too many times, because I'm now confused. I also ordered a cake one year at CRT (to die for chocolate!) and a mini-castle cake at the GF, so I have done a standard b-day cake order before.

This year I want to order one for myself for our Chef Mickey's lunch ADR. I would like one of the fancier personalized cakes. After looking at all the pictures, I decided I really want to do it up nice!

Questions: The cake will be for 8/20; do I wait and order 2 weeks out or when should I place the order? Also, I keep reading mention of chef Brian. Should I contact him and how? Many people mention e-mailing him, although I know his e-mail can't be given out on here. Or those of you who ordered at the Contemporary, how did you order/who did you call and have success!

Thanks again! Although the cake threads are nice, it is waaayyy too much info and made my head spin!
