..can you give me a little advise on how much we are going to need each day for food, drinks, snacks etc

There are four of us two adults two teenagers, I have a rough idea based on our visit in 2001 but just wondered if prices had increased at all.

Thanks

Jane

Oh this is hard...very different for everyone.....

We had $150 per day, some day's were sit down meals - Flying Fish, California Grill, some day's 'Ohana's, Chef Mickey's,Spoodles. We definately had a good meal each day. We ate breakfast in the room most day's and didn't bother so much about lunch.

This money did include our souvenirs as well though.

HTH in some way......

We spent $60 a day for 2 adults and this included snacks and drinks in the parks, two main meals a day - varying from cheap (like Sizzler, IHOP and Wendys) to moderately expensive (Olive Garden, Dan Marino's and Whispering Canyon Cafe), plus all our visits to Publix to get groceries (the benefit of having a fridge in our room!)

However, because of that we ate breakfast in our room every day except one, so you might want to add on extra to our total if you're planning on eating out then.

Bearing in mind the $ is pretty weak against the £...and you'll get a good exchange rate I'd suggest $150 is easily enough to cover your food costs.

The killer ( if you're not careful ) is " snacks and drinks "........ the cost of both is a total rip-off in every park, and can easily outweigh anything you'll spend on a meal.

Tips we used included buying a large drink and getting an extra cup since the large drinks are ENORMOUS!! Also, don't ask for ice in the drinks because :
1. The drinks are ice-cold to start with ( teeth rattling ! )
2. They'll half fill your cup with ice, and I don't much care for paying $2.50 and up for half a cup of ice.

Snacks........if you need 'em , buy them in the supermarket and take them with you...........because again at $2 and up they ain't cheap.

Put it this way, a family of four going for 2 drinks each plus two snacks each through the day can easily spend about $40 a day.....or over two weeks ....about $560.....£350!!!!!!!

That's a lot of money on fizzies....and I never yet heard anyone come back and say how delicious the drinks were in Florida !

Sorry but I don't have a figure for you

but I agree with Mike - No ice. It does confuse some CMs but they do have a seperate button on the tills for drinks with no ice. But you will get strange looks.

We only bought drinks at meal times. or sit down shows.

We took in chilled water every day with the bottom quarter of the water frozen, once drunk we refilled at the water fountains.

We had a cool box in the boot of our car filled with ice & Gatoraid , much more refreshing than fizzy pop.

Thanks guys.

I am hoping it isn't going to be too hot during December so drinks won't be a big issue, but I take the point about the ice, thanks.

Also I will make sure I take plenty of snacks with us, with two teenagers who are never full it could cost me a fortune.

Thanks again!
