Those going Jersey week please post your dates

Hi,

I was hoping to get an idea of how crowded the parks might be in the final days of Jersey Week. Could you please post your travel dates so maybe I will get an idea?

What is Jersey Week and what are the dates? I'm Going from Oct 30 - Nov 14th. 2006. I was hoping for low crowds...

I consider Jersey week the week of Nov 5-11. That Tuesday is election day and Jersey schools are out. I also understand school is out that same Thursday and Friday of that week. We went last week during this time and couldn't figure out why our nice quiet November trip was incredibly crowded. We didn't make alot of PS ressies for dinner and ended up having to really scramble for anything. Everything was full. Lines for rides were not impossible but much longer than we anticipated for this time of year!

We are going this year the following week (Nov 12-17). I have heard there may still be alot of Jersey folks still down there making a long weekend of their trip or whatnot. That's why I posted to see what dates people are generally booking.

My dates are roughly Nov 5th through November 12th. BUT - realize there will be plenty of non-Jerseyans there, too! Many, many schools in lots of states have days off that week too, especially a long weekend with Veteran's Day. Locals come out for the three-day weekend, too. And most New Jersey schools are NOT off the whole week - many only have Thursday Nov 9 and Friday Nov 10th off. But it will be busy that week, no doubt about it! If you are arriving on the 12th, most Jerseyans will probably be leaving right when you get there, so you are safe.

11/3-11/11. We are not from Jersey but go because as HugsforEeyore says our school is closed for Election Day and DH has Friday off as the state is closed for Veteran's Day.

We are going to be there 11/5-11/12. I've heard rumors and stories about Jersey Week recently and I am kinda nervous. We can't change our plans because vacation schedules are fixed. I just want to know what I've gotten my family into!

I've been to Disney during Spring Break back before FastPass was created, and I've been there a number of times in May. Which of these is a better comparison to Jersey Week?

We'll be at WDW 11/4 - 11/9 and then switch to the Disney Wonder for a three day cruise.

Sorry - didn't mean to make anybody nervous! We were there last year and really expected QUIET seeing at it was November and most people I thought were back to school, there were no major holidays, etc. I had no idea Jersey week even existed. I didn't think the lines were hideous, but we waited outside of the EPCOT ball maybe 25 minutes when we had gone so many times in the past during Oct timeframe and walked right on. We thought November would be even quieter.

We had a real hard time getting any dining ressies, but then again, we were with my parents which made our table size larger than we were used to, and harder to get a ressie for.

We have been many times in May...I would it is comparable to May. I have never been for spring break so can't say. Just don't expect the quiet and wonderful time in November that some guide books elude to and you won't be too disappointed. It wasn't all that bad. We did however make sure to plan our upcoming trip away from Jersey week this year, but we had some flexibility. If I didn't, it wouldn't stop me from going in a heartbeat though.

We have a big group so ressies were a must anyway. Those are all set, so I guess we're good to go.

We'll be there the 8-16th! Hopefully we'll get some quiet days at the end of our trip.

We are stying at the Polynesian

Don't worry, not all of NJ will be at WDW, there are plenty of other places to go on vacation.

Just be aware that Epcot will be very crowded on the weekends due to the Food & Wine Festival, but it wasn't bad during the week. Also, MGM is having the Super Soap weekend there too, so we just plan not to go there on the weekend as well. There is something else going on at DTD, but I can't recall.
