Anyone have any experience with them?

Lately, I've been getting calls from a FL number (as you can see, I'm from NY). I didn't answer them, but I finally received a voicemail from the number saying that one of those silly contests I signed up for, I won.

:confused3

From the details DBF and I can remember, it was for a trip to Orlando/Universal. The VM says it was for Orlando/Disney :woohoo:/Daytona.

We're trying not to get excited over it, but does anyone have any experience? We haven't called back yet, I wanted to get some advice. We're cautiously optimistic about it - we want to believe it but all that keeps running through my head is scam :lmao:

We're both pretty naive when it comes to this sort of thing, so any tips would be helpful before the call back.

Thank you so much in advance :worship::worship:

Ask for them to send you the detail through the US mail in writing. That will be the last you ever hear from them

It is probably either a time-share presentation required (and you have to provide your own transportation) or there are certain fees which must be paid in advance and then you have to attempt to get the reservation (on a date which, for some reason, is not available).

Any game/prize/whatever you sign up for is just a smokescreen for selling your personal information. Since you now have a "business relationship" with the company, they are immune to the provisions of Do Not Call and you can't easily opt out.

Ugh, I hate when I see Florida pop up! I was so mad at DH for letting ds fill out one of those forms. I spoke to them, told them I wasn't interested, and they kept calling! Two years later, and I'm still getting calls from Florida!

We are about an hour east of Syracuse and have been getting similar calls about winning some type of Orlando trip. Not sure how they got our number but we've just been ignoring them.

It's easier than you think. Answer the phone, make sure you're talking to a person and not dealing with a computer, and say, "Please put me on your internal Do Not Call list and don't call me any more".

One of the more useful features of Google Voice is that you can send unwanted calls to a "phone limbo" so you never even hear the phone ring, and the person either leaves a message you never have to hear, or the phone can be set to play a message and then disconnect them.

AVOID them at all cost. They collect phone numbers and also sell them to other companies.

Thanks all! We had signed up for these silly things before, along with various family members and never heard back.

I really appreciate all the information! :flower3:
