I just dropped off DD15 at the high school for the last day of school, which only amounts to an hour and a half final exam for the Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors. As we approached the school we could see a HUGE sign strung up on the front of the building. It said- STICK A FORK IN US- WE'RE DONE!!!!!

We looked at the front lawn of the school and saw a sea of plastic forks with their tines stuck into the grass. :rotfl2: There must have been thousands of these forks, so many that the ground looked white, not green.

Someone was up awful early this morning! :lmao:

That was the line a very close friend and co-worker of mine used to close his traffic report every day... I lost him a few years ago so this brought a tear and a smile to my face.

That was so cute, and so appropriate!

I'm sorry for the loss of your friend, :grouphug: but I'm happy that this post made you smile this morning! :)

Since this prank was pulled by the Senior class and they graduated last Sunday, I was wondering who would be picking up all those forks.

My daughter said that the Assistant Principal, who is also the school's disciplinarian, told all the kids who were supposed to have detention today that they would be picking up forks instead. :rotfl2:

This happened at a local high school last year. However, the janitorial staff made it clear that they were not picking up thousands of forks and there was no one in detention to pick them up. The principal decreed that the seniors would spend their last day picking them all up or there would be no graduation ceremony. The forks disappeared pretty quickly.

YES! Forking! OMG forking is so funny. Yes it was a high school favorite of ours. Forking each others houses. I don't know what was funnier, actually sticking the forks in the ground or driving by afterward. :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Anyway it was funny harmless fun.

My sister teaches at a school in rural SC, and it is tradition that on the last day of class, the seniors arrive at school in a parade of tractors, lawn mowers and 4-wheelers. I would love to see that!

I can't sleep, so what else is there to do than read the Community Board? LOL

Anyway, cute prank at the high school, but I'm also glad I clicked on this thread because I got to see Henry again!! I love your cat!!! :goodvibes :teeth:
