thomson flight upgrade

were considering upgrading from economy on our thompson flight next thursday.

just wondering if its worth it for £700

and would it be any cheaper upgrading at the airport as opposed to online

you all probably think im really tight and youre right i am.

Not sure what Thomsons upgrade is like but thats a lot of spending money.

Not worth it to me, just checked it out, std seat is 33" Premium 36". Not a massive difference.
I wouldn't pay £175pp for VA upgrade so definitely not for Thomsons. I only upgrade with VA if I have airmiles to do it free.
As I said before £700 is a lot of spending money.
Hopefully someone will post with Thomson Premium experience.

i just needed dissuading

i think we get air miles with our mastercard but have never used them. might be worth looking into. although i wouldnt know what to do!

dh has a few different loyalty cards, or whatever they are, with airlines he uses to travel to and from work but none of them are for an airline we would use to get to america

im going to look at my mastercard thingy now. known my luck its probs not even air miles and ive been saving up for a cat bed, fridge, wide screen telly or some such!

theyre not air miles. they are just some points scheme. you can get things from cinema tickets to flights to egypt. no free upgrade on thomson for us

Hi I've done Thomson premiere when I got married at Disney 3 yrs ago! we got much much better service then we did when flying economy! Drinks are all free food was better in MOI as you get a wider choice the seat wasn't anything uber amazing but was nicer to have a bigger seat and tv and you can also pause rewind etc your films( you can pay extra to do this in economy) I was very I'll on our flight home as I ended up in hospital the day before flying home and they was amazing! Kept bringing water asking if I needed anything at all entertained my boys allowing them to hand out the hot towels lol if I could afford it I would do it everytime but only if I could really afford it easily, if it's a stretch then I would think you also can't choose your seat when you upgrade! Although they will sit you together best they can, the lounge at Sanford was brilliant for me as I could sleep whilst the boys watched movies and played games

well 7 days to go. i think it will just be a spur of the moment decision while were checking in tbh now.

Think of it as £700 towards your next trip and see if you still want to upgrade! 8 hours with a 3" bigger seat, or a huge chunk of the next trip paid off? Just my two cents!
