Thomson/First Choice pre booking seats

Hi Folks, Dont post much but i do read the boards loads, specially the trip reports with lots of pics of food

Quick question if you dont mind, we Fly with First Choice/Thomson on the 27th of November from Gatwick and have upgraded to Premium seating so can pre book our seats online.

Does anyone know when it is possible to do this? I think we are about 94 days off at the mo and it still says not available.

I flew with Thomson to Egypt a few weeks ago, I was able to prebook the seats 2 months before, they were supposed to email me with the details but they didn't so ended up sorting it myself.

Hi you can ring and book the seats earlier than you can on line.

I am sure it was three months before to ring up and book seats and two months if you did on line.

We have just flown with Thomson/FC on the premium and it was brill (taking out the delay on the way back - long story) - the actual service and what you got was brilliant, well worth the money.

You will get an email that you follow to select your seats, it works really well. I've used thomson/fc premium 3 times and it has always been good value. If you have flown PE in the bubble with virgin, unfortunetly it isn't quite the same but still much better than economy

We have flown Prem with them too it was fab!! well worth the little it cost to up-grade, all though this yr when i was going to up-grade they told me that I could not pre book my actaul seats they was allocated as booked in the premier section?
This is the reason that we have not flown it this yr as I have an Autistic son who needs to have a window seat or he will not be best pleased. so we just paid the extra for seating together as we can then book our seat numbers in Economy,, not that im too bothered as we still have tv we will upgrade that package on the plane and the seat pitch is still bigger then any other airline!

Just checked, I booked my premium seats over the phone on the 4th May, for my flight on the 1st August. Then I booked on the 24th may for my flights back on the 22nd august.

That is wrong about not being able to pre book seats. Originally we were in normal seating, and were going to pay the £25 to pre book our seats, then the premium price came down and we found out if in premium the pre booked seats are included, so they took the £25 off the upgrade. If you would like to do it, ring the number in the brochure if you feel not been told right by TA

Thanks so much Im pretty gutted about that now god how frustrating!! my whole holiday if Im being honest has been a mess from the start as I did all my booking of everything over the phone with the travel agent I seen a good deal and rung them up and it seems that half the info I have been given was wrong lol ...of well at least I have sorted most of it out , I will call them and see if they have enough prem seats and see what i can do about changing it! thanks again

I hope you get it sorted, but if you do not feel confident with your local TA, ring them direct (you can find it from the website) to sort the premium seats. When we flew out in August DH said they were selling some premium seats on the day, let me know how you get on, premium for me was def work it, good luck (We booked through FC)

Called Thomson today and was told with a flight date of 27/11 i should be able to book online either tomorrow or Monday (90 days) will give it a go and if not working try and book by phone .. not after much, just want to make sure we get a window seat group of 2
