Does anyone know what type of plane TCX44L from Manchester (departing Jul 31st) is and how I get to look at a seat map of the premium cabin?

Hi,

We are travelling on TCX44 on June 26th. also in PE
I believe our a/c is a Airbus A330.
We have managed to prebook our seats on the outward journey, but have been trying for about three weeks now to book the seats for the return journey. Every time we call, we end up in a massive queue (worst one so far has been "..position 60 in the queue!...) which can take literally hours to countdown to actually speaking to someone - only to be told the return a/c details have not been released yet. This is costing us a fortune in phone calls. I have to admit, I am getting a bit apprehensive now, as I can't understand how they know the a/c for the outward journey, but not the a/c for the return journey two weeks later. I will be seriously pi**ed off if we end up being seated all over the place due to missing the day the seat allocation becomes available.

I know what you mean. I was number 31 in the queue today and it took them 45 mins to answer at 5p per minute!!

NOt to worry you, but they were able to confirm the outward and inward seats for us and were travelling out on 31st August.

Once again, I have asked TC when the inbound flights will be available to prebook. Once again (this morning!) I am being told the flight is not yet avaiable for booking seats!!!
What I was told, was the return flight MIGHT, due to the merger, be on a MYTRAVEL a/c and thats why the details are not available yet.

When I mentioned that i was aware of someone booked on a TCx44 flight, on a later date has already pre-booked their seats for both journeys, the response was "Oh, that's strange!".....Not much help there!!!!

I have now asked TC to put on record that I want the same seats on the return flight as I have booked on the outbound flight - surely it doesn't take any rocket scientist to sort that one out!!

Thanks, Jakey - thats' fantastic.

Trev - I wonder if they were able to assign seats for us in July/August becuase it's way after the merger is complete. It's quite funny because we actually booked originally with MYTRAVEL. Your flight is past that May deadline too so I don't see the problem!!!

I did wait in an awful queue - about 45mins before I spoke to someone. They are sending confirmation in the post and I also had to pay an extra £5 a seat.
