From todays Daily telegraph about Porsche in trouble:

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/...r/5383921/Porsche-on-the-financial-brink.html

"The crisis is yet another headache for the German authorities as they put together a rescue deal this week for Opel, most likely with Fiat. Separately, the hotel and retail group Arcandor said it faced collapse without a €650m state bail-out. Arcandor's share price fell 20pc. The company owns the Karstadt department stores, Quelle, and Thomas Cook. It employs 50,000 workers"

yikes, maybe thats why they gave me an online quote of more than £6500 for next years holiday when virgin were charging around £4500, they needed the extra cash!!!

hope it doesnt come to major job losses tho', 50,000 is a lot .

Oh dear! I'm sure someone would buy Thomas Cook though if Porsche fluffs it. Hope so, my holiday in October is with them!

There is more chance of me plaing a banjo naked in front of the castle, than there is of Thomas Cook customers losing their holidays.

I see Virgin have made decent profits though!

We used them to book Virgin Holidays up and the money has been paid so hopefully they will have passed the money onto Virgin and our holiday will be okay should anything happen.
