This Year's Christmas/Holiday events at DTD?

Sorry, if this isn't the correct place to post this, I didn't see a DTD section.
Does anyone know some of the events that typically take place during the holiday season at DTD?
Where is Santa typically located and how much do the pictures with him cost?
Like I've already stated, any other DTD holiday events? carolers, etc.?

All I know is that Santa is located in marketplace area. There used to be an ice skating rink somewhere in DTD too, but I don't know where or if it will be around this year. I'm also interested in DTD holiday stuff. Someone please give us more info!

I loved that ice arena but I don't think that they have it anymore which is a great shame as it really was good fun and people loved it.

I'm wondering where we should get our Santa picture taken for the kids. Does anyone know if the photo background is better at DD or at MK during MVMVP?

I know that last year, Santa was set up outside of World of Disney.

We were there 2 years ago and we saw carolers dressed in Victorian costumes. They were up by the big tree by the toy store. THey were taking requests and most people in the crowd were singing along. There was also a local band or choir performing Christmas carols on a stage down by the water. It was very festive. So festive we are returning for Christmas in 60 days

We were there the week after Thanksgiving last year. The DTD times guides states "Santa's Chalet - located in front of World of Disney
Daily from 12pm to 10pm
Santa will pose for pictures with pet dogs and cats on Saturday"

I remember the Victorian carolers last year (near Earl of Sandwich,IIRC), and lots of decorations, obviously. Memory is hazy on other details, tho, sorry.

There's not much to it, really.

Santa is there. I've seen carolers once (but I think that was only on Christmas Eve when I caught them), and they will occasionally have performances on the central stage by local groups.

During Thanksgiving of last year, Santa was outside World of Disney (long lines during the day, but not at night). The photo of Santa and my kids was awesome! The ice rink was not there last year and in years past it was located in the West Side. There was a little exhibit about different holiday traditions and, of course, everything was so festively decorated. There were shows (singers) each day at the stage in the Marketplace (also in front of World of Disney). You can get your peppermint ice cream sundae's at the ice cream shop that time of year, too! YUM YUM YUM

We are scheduled to return again this Thanksgiving and I cannot wait. It is truly my favorite time to be at Disney - especially DTD.
