Thanks to Mariposa, who by the way, mentioned on this thread, that the WDW website had changed their hours. As well the WDW Today Podcast had mentioned it. If Mariposa had not informed me, I would have still thought this all was just a rumour spreading out of control.
Not that this matters at all....but actually I was the one who informed you about the disneyworld.com hours change and Mariposa was the one who informed you about the WDW Today podcast. Just an FYI.... ;)

Here is some proof that the park hours are indeed correct and that the park will not close 1 hour early to remove party guests:

This will effect MVMCP as well. If you look...Wishes will be at 6pm. on these party nights so obviously the park will not be closing at 6pm. They are keeping the park open till 7pm on both MNSSHP nights and MVMCP nights. So as the part starts there will still be lots of people still in the park without tickets. Yes, some will leave but I bet many won't. Plus that first hour of the party will be nothing but caos while people are coming and going.

Some are reporting that Wishes scheduled on party night IS actually a true misktake as it's very difficult for Disney to do Wishes at 6:00pa and then do Hallowishes/Holidaywishes at 9:15p.

Time will tell though.

According to some very reliable sources the times listed for park hours and wishes are indeed correct. I don't believe they will do wishes at MNSSHP because it will not be dark enough at 6pm at that time of the year but it will be dark enough for MVMCP.

Like you said...Time Will tell. I'm glad I have MNSSHP and a few MVMCP before my party date to see how things go.

Maybe I am just being dense, but for the life of my I don't see why it will make a big differene if they start shooing people out at 7 rather than at 6.

CM's will either have to continually stop all guests to check for wrist bands(being a pain for those who belong there), or they wont check for wrist bands and day guest will blend in with paying guests for the various shows, parades.
We'll be going to MVMCP, and I'll be watching how MNSSHP goes before we actually buy our tickets.

By the way, for those who aren't happy about people starting "yet another thread" on any topic, do yourself and everyone else a favor, don't reply to it, just ignore it. I don't understand what harm it does "you", but by hyjacking the thread to complain about it does bother those that find the thread usefull.
I wasn't looking for this topic, I just came across it, and I found it to be usefull. Thanks to the OP for posting, I just might search other related posts to hear more.
Now that I've gone off-topic, I'll get off my soapbox and enjoy the rest of my day.

Again, not seeing any difference between past years, when they started doing this at 6, and this year if they start doing it at 7.

At past parties, the CM's have been able to shoo out (at least most of) the non party goers without harassing the wristband-wearers too much. I'm pretty confident they can do the same this year, even if they start an hour later.

Actually in prior years the park closed at 6 and all party attendees were sent to ONE section of the park. If you had a dining arrangement you could be in that restaurant but you could not be out roaming the park. It's different than closing at 7 and having the party start at 7.

I've read that - but at all the parties I've been to, it just isn't true. MSUSA has never been shut down and emptied between 6 and 7 for example. I hung out in Tomorrowland (along with thousands of other people) last year when it was officially closed at 6 for MVMCP. Somehow the CM's do their job and get it done.

Tomorrowland was where they herded the ticketholders last year.

Of course there will be a big difference. If the party starts at 7pm and the park closes at 7pm there will be tons of people throughout the park that do not belong because they do not have tickets. In the past when the park closed at 6pm it gave the CM's 1 hour to get people out of the park that didn't belong before the party started. It allowed the clearing to be done in an orderly fashion and the park was cleared without impacting the party.

Are you telling us that you think that they will be able to clear a whole park of people in a matter of minutes?

Yes, the park was officically closed at 6pm in previous years and that gave the CM's 1 hour to get people that didn't belong out. That's why they got the job done before the party started at 7pm.

That extra hour gave plenty of time to get those without tickets who were trying to take advantage of the situation by staying in the park----- out!

Why should I have to pay for a ticket for a party that starts at 7pm and still have all these nonticketed people milling about?

Closing the park at 7pm and starting the party at 7pm will just make the CM's job that much harder and there will be a lot more people in the park that shouldn't be.

No, I reckon if they start an hour later, then they will finish with the shooing an hour later.

Which is the point of the first person you questioned.. The first hour (at least) of the party will be pure chaos.. and that's time we paid for.

I'd be willing to lend out my DH for those days, he can clear a room in a matter of seconds sometimes! :rotfl2: :rolleyes1

I hope this will help you. Disney will ask everyone to leave the park. The party starts at 7pm so around 6pm cast member will have the rides stop at 6pm and start closing off the park so the guest will have to leave. At around 5pm speical event guest can start entering the pakr and will have to wear their wrist bands. So if you entering the park before 7pm please wear your bands. Security will be checking and asking everyone to leave. I hope this help I do want you to have a good time.
