I think you have to have a certain number of posts before you can post a URL so that's why the roundabout way of posting links.

How many times do you need to post before you can post an URL?

When I first started posting I had no trouble posting URLs. So I don't think it has to do with the number of times you post.

I might not be doing this correctly, but I open my Explorer twice, 1 screen minimized, and go back and forth - copy the URL from the address bar that I want to post and then go back to the thread I am posting to and paste the URL there. Hope that makes sense. I am not a computer expert, so this is probably a round about way to do it, but it works for me.

I think I read somewhere on one of these boards a few months ago that people were unable to post hyperlinks until they hit 100 maybe? Maybe a mod can enlighten us - I'd assume it's a "protective" feature of the board to prevent people from registering just to spam.

You should ALWAYS post a freebie if you have one!

Just try copying from the address bar (Control key + C key),
then pasting into the message (Control key + V key)...that's what works for me and I'm fairly new at this board.
