This week in a nutshell, weather-wise

No snow here in Maryland (I wish!) but freezing to 70 degrees, wind, hard rain and sun.

I have talked with so many people who think their area is unique in having large temperature swings and are shocked to find out it happens everywhere.

The winner is Loma Montana.

https://www.guinnessworldrecords.co...est temperature variation in,8 a.m. on 15 Jan.

It went from impossibly cold to almost mild when the temperature rose 103 degrees in a 24 hour period.

The greatest temperature variation in a single location in a 24-hour period is 57.2°C (103°F), recorded in Loma, Montana, USA, on 14-15 January 1972. Over the course of a day, the town experienced a rise from -47.7°C (-54°F) at 9 a.m. on 14 Jan to 9.4°C (49°F) by 8 a.m. on 15 Jan.

We don't have snow, but the up and downs in temperature is driving me crazy.....and my head too.

89 one day, 66 the next....then some 70s and then repeat

Not shocked and I know we're not even remotely unique - it's just part of life. Just one of the parts that sucks. :p

It's been getting steadily warmer; we'll be in the low 40s today. However, it's raining... days on end of rain/mist/clouds.

While I do not really like the cold, warmer weather here just means pollen and humidity

Western Maryland, it was 65 degrees yesterday, I was in shorts and a t shirt. Today it's 36 and snowing, and I have leggings and a sweatshirt on. By next Tuesday it's supposed to be 72 degrees.
