This was one the theme park board. Please keep an eye on your kids!!!

WOW! Thank you for posting this. We're going in 2 weeks and now I'll be extra vigilant!

Oh my god, that is so horrible!!!! That poor little girl :( I couldn't imagine :( :sad1:

I hope that pervert goes to jail for a long, long time!!

I was a bit disappointed that Disney didn't have a comment other than pointing out that the Swan is on Dsiney property but isn't part of Disney -- seems like they may be trying to ward off any potential problems instead of saying *something* such as they hope the girl is okay or something other than making sure people know they aren't to blame. Well, of course Disney isn't to blame, but some compassion would be nice.

Disgusting!!! People are so gross. I'm all ready bugged about things like this. I know it will be in my mind all night.

I feel terrible for any child or parent that ever has to deal with anything like this.

I can't believe how sick people are. I just can't get over it. I watch my daughter's very closely, but there are always those, extra nice, people you have to worry about. There was this guy about 30 or so, who was "playing" with all of the little girls in the Pop Century pool. He was very physical with them, and the minute he thought he was going to play with my daughter, I went over to him so fast, I didn't even take off my shoes, and walked right into the kiddie pool. I told him, that even though he might mean well, it didn't look good, and unless he wanted the police called, he should keep his hands off of these little girls. I told him that maybe he should focus his attention on his own kids...his response...Well, I don't have any kids....:confused3 hello....then why doesn't he go "play" with the adults in the adult pool. I was so mad, I packed up the girls and went back to the room.

How sick & sad! I feel so badly for the little girl & every other child that was a victim of this creep.

We are staying at the Swan in June. That is so scary. I know it can happen anywhere, but UGH! We keep a close eye on our kids--especially around the pool, but again--UGH!
It is just awful! You want to think that things like this don't happen there. :sad2:

IT is scary but remember it can happen anywhere. In my daughters case it happened in our own home with a babysitter at 4 yrs old. Now at 11 it is still something we are counseling and it will be forever. Sick people like that need to be disposed of.

Remember to watch your little boys, too. I know most moms know this, but sometimes we forget that this happens to little boys, too.

Really sick. The guy is from our area of Southwest Florida, too, so I heard it all on last night's local news.

First off :grouphug: to you and your family. It is one of a parent's worst nightmares. This particular crime makes me so sick that I feel physically ill.
I did want to second what you are saying is that it can happen anywhere. That's why I posted it. Many people think WDW is expempt from this type of thing and have a false sense of security. It is not a true Neverland. It is an amusement park full of sickos the same as anywhere else. Unfortunatley.:sad2:

OK now I am going to be even more paranoid!:scared: That is so scary and sad. My question is...where were the parents?? Unless I get a little excapee, my kids are always within my sight.

We go to Sesame Place near us all the time. It is soooooooo packed at times. It is secure and you feel safe but I often wonder if freakos come to places like that just for that purpose. Talk about a candy store!!!

Well if you think about it- of you were a pedophile wouldn't a place like WDW be nirvana for you? Disgusting but unfortunatley the truth. Check out how many sex offenders live in the areas surrounding it. That can't be coincidence. It makes me so sick.
As far as the parents, you can post on these boards and ask, but many parents feel fine with leaving their children unattended at what I feel is a very young age. They call me overprotective. I don't care, that is my comfort level.

jenrein -- how awful for your little girl!

In this case -- thankfully there was another father nearby who was watching his own kids and noticed the man lure off this other little girl. Since the man had a gun in his car who knows what the final outcome could have been. I'm praying for the little girl and any other possible victims of this cretin.

I hope he is put away for a long, long time.

Me too. I see it at the beach when I go. Someones 3 year old coming over to play with my kids while Mom takes a nap and dad goes for a walk. Scares the poo out of me. I always have my eye on where the kids are. Ryan is the only one that has a bit more freedom and even then I prefer he is always with a partner and I know where he is within eye site. I get nervous when I let him walk over an aisle to get something in Walmart! I wouldn't ever be so free with the girls. Too young to know better on their own. It is a sad and scary world.
