... we'll be arriving at the magic:cool1:(assuming my calculations are corrrect of course!)

So, a few thoughts come to mind.

We've just come back from the Med where the temperatures were 30C every day and it made us realise the kind of heat we'll be facing next August. So, we've decided to skip Discovery Cove. We were justifying the costs of DC by assuming that we'd also get a day or so at Seaworld but considering the heat and the fact that our children will only be 8 and 6, we're thinking that we'll need all 14 days at WDW. Are we doing the right thing? We're already planning to return 2014 so could build DC into a future trip when the children are older.

Also, if we're visiting mid to late August, what time do we need to make ADR's at California Grill and Rose and Crown to watch the evening fireworks etc.?

Has anyone used the V room at Manchester yet? Having spent a few hours in airports recently I'm thinking of booking.

Finally, if I'm this excited now, how much more excited will I be in 365 days?????????:rotfl2:

I can't comment on the weather but the first time we took the girls in 2009 they were just 7&6 and we spent 14 days doing Disney.

We took everything at their pace and where they wanted to go and had an amazing time. This time we've added Seaworld and Aquatica but still only doing Disney again. We're waiting until next year to add Universal so they're more into the bigger rides. Also hope to add DC next year as this time I still think they will be a bit nervous when the dolphins come near them :confused3

As you're already planning to go back 2014 you know you'll be doing all the other parks and it keeps it exciting every visit trying something new.

It was so great getting off a ride and the girls saying can we do that again and we did just that. We saw so many parents saying "No - we need to get over to so & so" and rushing off. Disney has so much more to offer if you relax and take your time.

I have to add we go in October so queues not usually an issue. Sometimes not such a good thing when you've been on It's a Small world 3 times and for a laugh the kids said "one more time!!!!"

I think you will have a great time doing just disney for 14 days.

Last trip with DD age 5 we just did disney for 14 days. Trip before we went for 18 nights so did Seaworld and then 14 days onsite disney.

We have never been August but a touring style that works for us with a young child is to get up early and make park opening then have a swim/rest each afternoon then back out for dinner and a few more hours in the parks.

Children also tend to want to line up for characters which takes time.

If you know you are going back i'd save some things for the next trip.

Thanks for your opinions, really helping me to come to terms with the fact that I won't be swimming with the dolphins for another couple of years.:sad1:

I guess if we found that we were rattling through WDW we could always decide to do a day in Seaworld or elsewhere as the holiday unfolds.;)
