This three letter words...

... I have seen this a few times on this board, that board.. the letters ***. So, what does this three letters mean? If it means what I think it means, isn't that a foul word that shouldn't be used here on the DIS? I can see using the letters.. WTH=for what the heck... So what does *** means?

I think it means what you think it means... at least that's what I always thought. I've wondered too about the appropriateness of using it here. I don't use that word in my normal vocabulary anyway, so I wouldn't feel comfortable using it here or anywhere (not to mention this is a family-friendly website and it shouldn't be used anyway). I feel a lot better about using 'WTH' instead.

Every time I see it used here I cringe a little bit.

That would be great if they can substitute that word, and yes, I also do cringe when I see the letters ***. I guess that's very normal and comfortable for them to say it, it's their everyday word, like it's no big deal. I usually say what the heck. If I use the word F in here and spell it out.. what's gonna happen? If the moderator deletes it, then why can't they delete those who uses the word ***?

I don't know.. I try to just ignore it... have seen it too many times whether it be here on the CB or the Resort Board or the Theme Board, and I am sure it's all over the board. Why use the word F if this is suppose to be a family board?

You know, it kind of reminds me of how on some TV shows they bleep out the "F" word, but you can practically hear the beginning and the end of the word, so what's the point? You know what is being said, give me a break!
