Here's an awful dilemma--- We will be in DW Nov 4, which is my birthday. Being the commando planner of vactions for the family I thought- well , why not get a cake for my birthday. I deserve it! So I have plans for DD and DH to order a cake for the big day. Then I realized-- we will be on the DP. Dessert of course is included. How on earth can we do desserts and also a cake (3 of us)..this is total piggery, no matter if its a birthday or not. All the dinners that week are on the DP so its not like I can order a cake for a different night- same dilemma....any thoughts? I guess we could just not get dessert that night with the plan- tho I hate to waste part of the TS...

I say go for the cake and use it to snack on in your room.

One can NEVER have too many desserts!

Personally I'd skip getting a cake ... you get way too much food on the dining plan, even without dessert. If you feel you really need a cake, you can get one before or after your trip.

We are doing Chef Mickeys for my birthday, I plan to hit the dessert table too and still ordered a cake....DH insisted on it! We orded the smallest on for $12

Just get a candle on your dessert, the cake will go to waste IMO

Get the cake and regular DP desserts. Give the desserts to the table next to you so they can celebrate your birthday with you too!

We celebrated my nephews birthday one day at the Crystal Palace. We told the server it was his birthday and she came out with Mickey confetti and decorated the table with it. She also came out with a birthday card for him with a picture of Pooh and the gang, wishing him a Happy Birthday. When we were done eating our main meal, she came out with a cupcake with a candle in it and got everyone in our area to sing him Happy Birthday. He dove right into that cupcake, like it was a full-sized cake.

My honest opinion, I'd save the money you would spend on a cake and buy yourself something special while you are there!!
