We're 2 adults trying table service restaurants for the first time!

Fantasmic dinner package: food wise - H&V or Mama Melrose?

Also on our Epcot day early dinner, I'm looking at Chefs de France vs going over to Ohana then coming back for Illuminations as another option.

I'll be happy either way cause hey, it's Disney, but wanted a general priority list before ADRs!

Mama Melrose, definitely.

Chefs de France is really good. I would choose that over O'Hana, especially for travel convenience.

I really did not enjoy Mama Melrose. It is the only restaurant at Disney that my husband refuses to go back to. I have never tried H&V though so no help to you there. I prefer Chefs de France over Ohana. I liked Ohana but it seems like you are already in the park so why not slow it down a bit and stay there for dinner and illuminations?

You definitely don't want to go to O'hana on your Epcot day as this would take several hrs trying to get back and forth having to exit the park and take 2 monorails and there's almost always a wait at O'hana regardless of what time your ADR is. Go with Chefs:)

As far as H&V & Mama Melrose it's been a long time since we've been to either (not fans of either) - you just have to decide on a buffet or Italian?

Mama Melrose over H&V!

We really don't like Chefs de France. I find the food overly salty, but the restaurant is very pretty!

If you want to do O'hana on your EP night, for convenience sake, you could uber from EP to Poly and uber back when you are done (you can take an uber either from the taxi stand outside the FW entrance or from the Beach Club resort by exiting out the International Gateway). But, as others have said, not very convenient.

There are SO many great restaurants in the EP area. I do like O'hana, but I would probably pick anything at EP over O'hana that evening just for convenience sake.

Mama Melrose, definetly.

This depends... my family loves Ohanas. If you have a good ADR time, I'd keep it and make it work. It's one of those ADRs that's hard to change.

Def. Mama Melrose. H&V is just not very good, even for a buffet.

Mamma Melrose for sure. And definitely Chefs de France....we thought the food quality at Ohana was rather poor. Chefs de France is excellent. Appetizers, Main course, and dessert were all delicious.

While I don't mind leaving a park for a nearby TS restaurant, I would not do Epcot to Poly for 'Ohana and then back to Epcot. It's just a lot of travel time (and just time, given that 'Ohana is notorious for seating ADRs late). This is relevant especially because there are so many great options in and much closer to Epcot. We liked Chefs in Epcot's France pavilion...but we also liked dining in Mexico, Morocco, Italy and England, love dining at the nearby (walkable!) YC/BC complex, and also would rather snack 'around the world' than leave Epcot for dinner at 'Ohana.

If at all possible, I'd do 'Ohana on my MK day(s)...but not from another park.

I can't give personal experience with DHS dining, as I've not been to H&V or MM, but given what I've heard on these boards (and from family members), I'd go with MM.

Good luck with your choices!
