This may be a lost cause, but . . .

. . . I am hoping someone may have some advice. I have just planned a VERY last minute trip for February 5-9. I was hoping to stay at the Yacht Club, and the quote for a room rate is $346/night.

Does anyone have any suggestions for rate codes or any other means of obtaining a less expensive rate for this hotel.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

Thank you.

How many in your party? Perhaps just one person in your party could purchase an AP. Then if there's an AP rate for that time period you could use it. And then you'll just have to plan another trip to WDW to get your moneys worth out of that AP!;)

Hey!!

I would first try the anyone codes posted on mousesavers.com (CTN or CPC). Check with CRO to see if there are any rooms available at YC for these rates.

If you want to try for AP rates, as Tuffcookie suggested, you might find this comes out cheaper in the long run than rack rates and regular Hopper passes or UPH's. When my DD and I went in December, we could only get rack rate, but upgrading our tickets to AP's we saved over $100/night, a savings of over $500 at BC. The difference between 1 Hopper pass and 1 AP was only about $130 or so. We went ahead and made both passes AP's though as we wanted to come back in spring and next winter.

If there are no discounted rooms left at YC, let me recommend AKL - this is our favorite resort, and cheaper than the other deluxes!!! (Had to get the AKL plug in there!:teeth: )

I agree about trying for an AP rate. CTN and CPC codes are only good 2/12/04-4/17/04.

Call and see if they have a standard view available for your dates with an AP discount (ask for Code BCE). If so then book it. It should be around $200 w/tax, I believe.
Then, buy an adult AP for $392.99.
The difference in price between an AP for $392.99 and an advance purchased 4 day PH for $204.48, is only $188.51.
But you will have saved many hundreds on your room ( about $600 savings if your $346 quote included tax- more if it didn't).
I have heard that you could get the AP discount by purchasing a child's AP, but I've never tried it.

Of course, this all assuming A) they have an AP discounted standard room B) You would be happy with a standard room, instead of a waterview and C) That you were originally planning to purchase a 4 day park hopper. I know I shouldn't assume, though. ;)

Hey, again!

I looked on mousesavers and the codes I posted don't begin until 2/12 - sorry. However, AP's do have rates available during your time frame.

Also, if you are a member of AAA, you might be able to get a better price.

:wave2:

Thanks for all of the advice--I will start working on that. Didn't think about trying an AP rate.

By the way, since you asked---there are two of us!

Thank you!

I have the same problem. I'm trying to get ANY deluxe at a reasonable rate for 2/11-2/13. I plan to call for AP rates before actually purchasing an AP.
