This Kinda Scared Me...WWYD?

What i just saw scares me.......

I sold an old wardrobe today and we already had it in the garage so the guy and his wife put the wardrobe in their mini van, however this wardrobe is HUUUUGE and it goes from the back of the van all the way up to their front seats... no big deal right?? well the yhad to take out the car seats of their children 4&5 or 6 and the kids were told to sit on the FLOOR of the van UNDER the wardrobe (they had to lie down!!). i told them that i would be more than willing to open my home to his wife and children if they wanted to wait here and he could come back and get them when there was space. (we could have all just gone in the back yard or something) and they were like "oh no the kids are fine" and drove away.........

Is there anything i shouldve done??

Unfortunately I don't think you can do anything about their stupidity except pray that they all make it home safely. I don't understand why people like that have kids in the first place if they obviously don't care enough about them to put them in a situation like that.

I agree with the other poster. You made a very generous offer to let them stay. You can't help that they didn't take you up on it.

Wow. What is really weird is that they HAD the carseats so they obviously think they are needed so WHY would they not be needed this trip?? What on earth would make them think that this for SURE would not be the time they were in an accident.

Yikes, I would have been freaked out too! Do you know how far they had to go?

i have no clue how far they had to go. I sold the wardrob via craigslist and all i do is give my address and they show up and pay and off they go.

It was just crazy, the sad thing is this is the SECOND time i have seen this happen, once at our garage sale when someone bought the other wardrobe we had!! different family, but these people are doing it like it's nothing!!!

I'm having flashbacks to an armoir my parents bought at some antiques auction when I was probably 11 or 12...they crammed it in out vw bus (yep, it was the last 70s) and me and my 2 sisters huddled wherever we could find a spot.

we made it home safely, and hopefully these people did, too. I would NEVER do this, and just hope they don't make a habit of it.
