I wouldn't worry about "wasting" a kids TS credit. It costs you less than $10 and you'd have to spend more than that just to sit with him to use it!

I highly recommend Chef Mickey's. It was so awesome and our 6yo boy absolutely loved it.

Thoughts?
Remember, your 2yo eats free at buffets.

Keep Main Street Bakery in the back of your mind. With the age of your kids you'll spend a lot of time in MK. You may end up sharing some CS meals and could have some extras. We grabbed a sandwich, huge slice of carrot cake and bottled drink there one night after Spectromagic. We shared that meal and still took carrot cake back to the room. :goodvibes

Are any totally bad?
Read the boards about Tony's and decide for yourself. If you decide against it, consider the Plaza. Its located in an even more convenient spot in MK and is really casual food; wonderful desserts.

We really liked Boma at AKL and would highly recommend it.
:thumbsup2

Tony's will be boring for your kids, the food wasnt that good, and the service was poor - how about Liberty Tree Tavern? DD loves this place, the food is standard, but its what she prefers!

Breakfast - dd loves Stitch so we do Polynesian Breakfast - a plus is the food is brought out to you, all you can eat, as opposed to a buffet where you have to get up and serve yourself, but then, less variety... but truly we have enjoyed the character interaction here!

I didn't really like the Liberty Tree menu when i saw it. I thought of tony's because i wanted to have a nice dinner w/ our family plus my parents and dh's parents and his sister and her kids. We were all going to meet for dinner before spectromagic. any other ideas?

Everyone always has different opinions! Our family really likes Tony's! Tony's has been there forever. Before we were married 20 years ago, we ate there with my husband's two aunts and have made it a tradition ever since.

The last time we ate there was on Valentine's Day 2007. We had great service and food. In fact, the entire MK was a mess that day with grumpy cm's and broken down rides, but our dinner at Tony's was a bright spot in an otherwise rotten day at the MK. :cheer2: Our children of 7 and 8 loved it, but are very, very well behaved and accept adult situations graciously and with enjoyment.

Love the Crystal Palace for breakfast--great character interaction and the puffed french toast is out of this world. We like Tony's--preferably for lunch (we have found it to be better service at lunchtime and not so much food). We've not done the character breakfast at the Polynesian since they changed it from Minnie's Menehue breakfast (with Minnie, Chip & Dale, Pluto and Goofy) because we do not like Stitch. We do remember the food being good when we went.

My DH and I didn't like Flame Tree. It's been 3 yrs, so maybe it's changed, but being from Texas, that's not good BBQ. And the beans weren't what I'm use to either.

We ate at TS:
Coral Reef- very loud, great food and good service, will eat there again
Le Cellier- GREAT food and service, will eat there again
BOMA- GREAT EVERYTHING, best on trip!!!
Hollywood & Vine- sevice slllllllloooowwww 1/4 full setting that evening), food just OK like a barnhills buffet. Will NOT eat there again.

CS:
Flame Tree Barbecue- good eating BBQ, will eat there again
Sunshine Seasons- ate here twice, good choices and food, will eat there again
Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe-good food BBQ, will eat there again
