This is where my girlfriend and me ate on our 5-night trip to Disney.

Magic Kingdom

Pecos Bill Café
I have to admit, I really never have good luck with counter service at the parks. This place wasn’t too bad for cheeseburgers & hotdogs. It’s pretty basic, but I have had much worse. $8.41 for a cheeseburger, fries and a coke. The best part about this place is the fixin’s station; they even have grilled onions & mushrooms. It is located in Frontierland.

Epcot

The Land
I like eating at this food court; you can really find some good and healthy meals. We ate the baked potato with chicken strips. It wasn’t a lot of food, but enough for lunch on a hot humid day, and very tasty. The meal was around $6.00.

Teppanyaki Dining Room
This was my favorite meal on the trip, we ate here for lunch, and the whole atmosphere was outstanding. This restaurant is located in the Japan pavilion. We had the Steak & Shrimp. The Chef put on a great cooking show, kept us entertained the whole time. I loved everything about this place. The price was about $ 40.00 for both of us. We will make this a regular stop for our next trip.

San Angel Inn
I have eaten at this place many times, and have really enjoyed it, this trip I just ate basic tacos, chips & dip. This place is expensive, what I really enjoy about this place is the Margaritas. They are the best hands down in Disney. We also go to the cantina outside and drink from there.

Animal Kingdom

Rainforest Café
I didn’t know what to expect, after reading so many mixed reviews on this place. I had never eaten here before. I thought it was good, I had the steak sandwich and my GF had the chicken sandwich. The atmosphere is great, children would love this place. The bill came out to about $12.50 a person. This is the only table service restaurant in Animal Kingdom.

MGM

ABC Commissary
This place was terrible, this was the worst meal I had on our trip, and also I put this on my top 10 worst at Disney. I had the rubber piece of burger dry something whatever it was, my GF had the cold dry nasty fish & chips that she couldn’t finish. The commercials start to get on your nerves after awhile. Shelling out $8.41 for this meal hurt, but I have yet to find a good meal at MGM.

Good Day

Thanks for posting your reviews. I totally agree about the MGM counter service. We ended up taking the boat over to ESPN to get some lunch because we couldn't find anything we liked. We went to ABC Commissary but it didn't open until 11:30 and it was about 11:00 I guess we got lucky that it wasn't open based on your experience!!

Your welcome kayeandjim00,

Yeah, be glad you missed that meal. The reason I picked ABC Commissary because I had read some good reviews on it. Anyway, I also ate at the ESPN club, and really enjoyed that meal too, Great sports atmosphere, love the TV's in the restroom.

Good Day

Hiya -

Thanks for the reviews. I totally agree with you regarding ABC Commissary, the food is terrible!!

Thanks for the reviews. I'm always in awe of just how BAD the fast food at MGM is. Sorry to hear you suffered through those commercials as well!

I have yet to have lunch at ABC commiss. however DH and I had eggs there that were very good (for fast food). It came with hash browns, bacon or sausage, a biscuit and coffee. I liked it so much I wanted to try this place for lunch sometime when looking for a quick bite...maybe I'll pass.

DH and I did have a BBQ chicken pizza at Catalina Eddies that was very good.

Couldn't agree more about counter service at MGM it's dire. I used to just about manage Backlot with the fixins bar but now that's gone the burgers there taste so dry that I have a good breakfast and then just eat fries for lunch and have a sit down dinner. We often leave the park early to dine elsewhere so they have lost our custom, although I may try the potroast at Prime Time next vacation, because according to these boards it's good.

thanks for the reviews.....We love the teppanyaki steak house, its a regular dining spot for us. I definately will not be eating at the commisary!!! Never have, and I guess I never will!!!:D

Thanks for the reviews! I have to agree about the Margaritas at San Angel - they are the best!

Thanks to everyone that responded, Erikarate I couldn't imagine eating breakfast there. I guess that just shows how everyone has different taste.

Good Day

I couldn't agree more about the ABC commissary--avoid it at all costs! I had fish and chips but they weren't cold, in fact when I bit through the rubbery breading a piece of fish fell out and almost burned my leg!

It sounds like the lunch is pretty gross at ABC, but I swear the eggs we ate were great for fast food (my favorite breakfast at WDW is still at GF Cafe)...then again is is pretty hard to mess up eggs other than way under cooking them.

We usually hop the boat to the Boardwalk area or even better, Epcot for lunch on MGM days. I used to enjoy Hollywood and Vine and Brown Derby, but now one is gone and the other was not as good the 4th and 5th times we tried it. Mama Melrose is OK, but the kids prefer Tony's at MK for pizza and pasta. And Sci-Fi was a once-only for us. On our last trip we had relatives with young children with us, and hopping to another park for lunch was out of the question, so we went to the only indoor counter service that we used to like, Backlot Express, and we decided we would probably not go back. The hamburgers were thin and dry, and the toppings bar is gone! We usually get a seat for Fantasmic early, and send 2 people down to the counter service restaurants across from the entrance for Turkey Legs and pizza, but I would not want to eat outside during the hot part of the day. And Pizza Planet is out...I'd never get my husband's nephews and my son out of that arcade!

Yep, you're right about MGM food. The only good meal I had there was when I ate at the Sci-Fi Dine In. I only had fries and a cheeseburger but they were tasty, hot and the atmosphere was really neat. I wasn't impressed with Mama's Diner. The vegetables were raw in my pot roast although the meat was done.

Truthfully, except for Tower of Terror, MGM isn't that great in my opinion. We usually end of spending just part of a day there.

The ABC Comissary has to be one of are all time worst dinning experiance, Try the food court by Tower of Terror
