This is what I get for procrastinating

I just had a brainstorm last week to get my daughter a pink Nintendo DS Lite for Christmas. I went shopping yesterday. All the stores are sold out. I went online today. All sold out.

Some places only have white. It needs to be pink. Anyone with a 5 year old daughter would understand why.

I always knew my procrastinating tendencies would come back to haunt me someday.

I was at the Bedford WalMart Sunday and my daughter saw one there. She informed me that she wanted a pink one (she already has the silver one). When I asked her why she wanted the pink one - her response - because it is prettier!! DUH !!! Silly me - Needless to say - when we left the area - it was still there. Maybe you could give them a buzz to see if it is still there - worth a try - Good luck!!

Ooooh, I'll have to check it out! After I check out my local Wal-Mart of course. That's one store I didn't go to. Hmmmm........

Bedford is only 30-40 minutes from me, so it will be worth the drive.

We seen a pink DS lite last month and i think it was $150 with no games but I can't remember the store. I think it was either Limited Too or Childrens place...Just checked the web site & don't see a DS

You can only buy the whole bundle at Target? That's weird. I just want the system. Maybe I should just go to the store and see if they have any.

Best Buy said they will be getting some in next week.

And the Circuit City link has it, but the store with them in stock is kinda far away.

2 months ago just the doll was 49.99 in toys r us....

neighbor who had the same plight just called.....
when i was away she got 2 baby alives.....
she said it was from walmart.com

....i have no relevant input. just wanted to say i think it neat
how some are willing to help others....

lucky me....no longer having to do this...i still remember how diffcult it
was to get the power rangers...the first year...of course, my son had to
have the green one...& i didn't realized "it" only came with a package
deal...however, our local depart. store had the market cornered....some
came hundred of miles to get whatever they put out...that's where i met
2 ladies...from kentucky [hundred south]...& one explained the "green
ranger" deal...i also noticed she had the last one in her basket...however,
she really wanted the "yellow/pink"--{girl rangers}..so i offered to "trade".
her freind...said no way!..but the yellow/pink were hardfer to get..so she
was happy to trade...that started my son on his current hobby of collecting
figures..but he still has that ranger & its robot...in the orginal packaging...
ha!..i laugh every time seeing it...& the things we do for our kids....

i also remember...getting my wife...a lil cabbage doll when they first came
out...[we didn't have children then}...as a sentimental gift...then seeing the
price $$$$ skyrocket...do you remember the stories...some flew all the way
to london...just because they were available over there...funny?...it just
so happened we have friends from outside london....

then 1997..5 years after ...we decided no more! ,ha! ..we had a lil spif
& she told me that she was taking "all' three and leaving...i ...said...
wait a sec!,..leave the dog here!...she said, u! don't git it!..oh, no..it hit
me... & that how we became blessed with our lil
[ the most beautiful red hair u can imagined!]...sooon afterwards,
she came home all excited...from mickey d..what this? somethang new,
called a beanie???....next thang i knew..it was my job to get 'em..our
friends in england was able to help....

so whenever i see this stuff...brings back some wild adventures..
whew!...glad i no longer have tooooo but boy!,those were the days!

If you can't find a pink one, but you can find the "skins" that they sell, you might ask your DD if she likes one of those. They have them with Princess Peach from the Mario Games as well as a Nintendog one. DD9 asked for a pink DS and the Nintendog skin. I asked her if she really needed a pink one, if she wanted to cover it up? She guessed she didn't need a pink one, so any color would do, but she still would perfer a pink one.

She is getting a pink one and Grandma got it for her. She ordered it online from JCPenneys.

Nintendo underestimated demand for the pink model. They produce plenty of white and onyx ones, but figured pink would be a niche model. They were wrong. The pink (coral) models are sold out everywhere.

Did you try Costco? They have them here and seem to keep restocking them They are bundled with the new Mario game.

I bought one for my DD weeks ago (DS Lite in Coral Pink). They were in short supply at the time. I have seen them at Target again. I was there last night and they were all out again. Just keep looking, I'm sure more will come in.

Now, don't ask me about the Wii... I've given up on buying it for Christmas. DH went to Target first thing yesterday morning and there were 20 other shoppers looking for it. They didn't have any.
