This is what Husband said...

I just booked my 20th anniversary trip. The easiest way for me to cinch it was the 4 hour barage of DisneyWorld on the travel channel. I made him watch it, then told him if we went he could by the new snowmobiles he was hankering for! Bribes will work if there is something he wants!!!! :rotfl:
I am shameless for using this technique. It has worked for over 23 years! He gets power toys and I get trips and jewelry. Then he ends up having a lot of fun on trips making memories.

You can always try incessant "Disney talk". I find that it really works on my own DH to get what I want. A few tears never hurt, either.

He also told me that we can't go until he gets his new motorcycle . . . which (just my prediction) he will buy before summers out.

After our first trip my DH didn't want to go ever again. It was my 25th birthday while we were down there and I kinda pushed him over to the DVC counter and we have been members since my 25th birthday. I got what I wanted and in return he got whatever toys he wanted... when I say toys I mean skidsteers, tractors with all the attachments (the really big ones for agriculture), and remote control cars from the Japanese Pavilion. I think the only one I cringed on the bill was the remote control car... $400!!!! All it does is sit on our Mantle. :crazy2:

A little off topic
I hear you on the remote control car! My husband bought an electronics company and we make electronics for the remote control hobby industry. In the beginning, I had no idea you could spend that kind of money, or that people did for what I at the time considered toys! Now we get to play with "toys" all day long. I told him I was bored and he bought me a job! ChefMickey has a great point about the golf courses, and the Richard Petty driving experience is waaaay cool. You can do a half day or full day. The price is not as high as you'd think. The website has all the info you need.

DH got a new toy hauler, my brother got a new truck, my aunt and I got to book our DisneyWorld trip.

Wow, no wonder I'm not married. I can't imagine someone telling me what I could and couldn't do. :confused3

I would find out what he does want to do on your 20th anniversary and see if you can combine both desires :thumbsup2

DH told me we had to wait 5 years. 5 years my hiney. I sicked (sic) our 4 year old on him. We are going exactly 1 year and 1 week from our last trip. He is a sucker for his son.

My husband said "You will have to wait 5 years till we go to Disney again"

I really want to stay there for our 20th wedding anniversary.... How do I convince him?:confused3

IMO if you have to "convince" him it isn't going to be a very joyful time. Isn't it better if you go someplace you both would enjoy? Afterall you are going to be celebrating 20 years.....

Start playing Disney music around the house... LOL.. I do that to DF when I need to go back to WDW

one word: divorce.

ok ok just kidding, so if that's not an option, whine for 5 years. You can do it girl, my Dfi knows better than to tell me no to something. ;-)

show him who wears the pants and GO TO DISNEY!

You gotta retrain this man, women are the head of the household and you go to WDW when we say so. I have been whining to go back since we got home from our trip in December and my DH looked at me one day and said are you really serious, DUH, when am I not serious, so I hijacked his birthday trip and I am going to WDW this year, unfortunately for only two days, but I get what I want (well, I always get what I want).

If all else fails, divorce him and find someone who will take you every time you want to go.
