Ok, thanks for the response-- but I am now filled with more questions-- can you pay in advance for what you want to use......say for example put $500 on your daily "room limit" we stay away from credit cards as a rule so, can you like, use your debit card and say put----- money on your "allowance"--- anybody ever had experience with this???

I love this!!

BTW we are staying at the Coronado Springs-- cant wait.....

There are loads of us that do this. It depends on what level of resort how much of a charging limit you have.

When you check in they swipe a credit or debit card. Or you can put down a cash deposit. We use the debit card and check every several days to make sure everything is correct.

If I am not mistaken the "limit" on the card at the moderates is $1000.

I am sure others will be along to give more details. But it is a great benefit at WDW.

we just got back at stayed at BCV and BWV...I wasn't paying attention at BCV but at BWV the charing limit was 1500.

While I was staying at The Contemporary, I dunno how it happened, but we got a max limit of $4,000! Of course I didn't use bout about $200; although it WAS tempting while I was at the Art of Disney...

We have the same rule about credit cards...so I used my debit to secure the credit (we kept it at $500 limit)...we stayed 8 nights and every 2 days we would go pay off our credit at the front desk with our disney dollars we had saved for our trip (usually late at night or early in the morning to avoid the crowds). This allowed us to avoid carrying lots of cash in the parks and to keep our spending in check.

You can also place disney dollars on your account when checking in, and spend against that. I gave them 1000 disney dollars last year and we just charged with our room key til it got to zero, then the remainder we spent came off the debit card we gave as back up.
