On our local news tonight:

A 13 year old was caught driving drunk.

Yes, 13.

Yes, driving.

Yes, drunk.

Goodness, what is this society coming to?

It shocks me when I hear stuff like that. And little kids being pregnant or getting caught with drugs.

I'm 16 and I can't imagine being drunk, pregnant, or stoned.

About 4 people at my school are prego, just a year older. If I was 24 and they were prego, that would be completely fine thats their choice, but seriously 13!?
Ugh, its gross.


The world is a sick place, I hate when people say "what is the world turning into" if you pay attention, its kinda always been this way.

This is terrible, we all wish we could live in a more peaceful world, but unfortunatly, that's just a fantasy now.
When my cousin was in sixth grade, he had a girl in his class who was pregnat, and that's only like 11 or 12.
And then drinking and smoking, that's not good for you at any age, I've seen its effects on reality based shows and documentaries, and it just makes me wonder why any one would do it in the first place.

Doesn't surprise me. I know a lot of people in my grade started drinking/smoking/drugs/sleeping with people in 6th grade.
It's disgusting but it's their lives their wrecking, less competition for us in the world. xD

14 year old and (15?) year old in my Fashion class last semsester (Sept-Jan) who were preg.

Another girl in my gym period (not sure of the age/class) is preg.

It's sad that you almost can't walk into a co-ed (or even all-girl's) high school without seeing at LEAST one preg. girl.

I know they got married/Did It young back in say, before the 21st century, but now with 13 year olds, even younger, pregnant? I mean, come on. That's just a BIT too young for a baby. Their bodies aren't ment for that stress, especially going through labor.

But unfourtunately, things like this happen, and there's nothing you can really do about it, besides try to teach absitence (or at least, safe sex).

I was going to say like wait that was on my news too. But then again you live in the same city as i do.

It's shocking. Like when I was 13, and still now, I didn't drink let alone drive a car drunk.

Well, it's not so crazy that the person is drunk.
It's the fact that they were driving and they're 3 years too young to be even LEARNING to drive, let alone be driving.
The people in my school get drunk every weekend. They're always wasted.

Well I live in a small town and I see this stuff all the time. Theres maybe 500 people at the school, (prek-12). But 13, wow. I see my friends all the time drinking/smoking their all 14-18. And it doesnt bother me as much as it did. I grew up, and faced reality. People drink, people smoke and people have sex!
Were all growing up and need to face all of those. Here we all drive, im 14 and I drive. It may seem wrong to you, but its just what we know. We've always been able to do that, we know no different. But yes its sad when you see kids drinking and smoking but its their choice, you cant change it as much as you wish you could. Just make sure, you make the right choices and dont let peoples dumb choices affect how you live.

It is HORRIBLE.
I am 13 and 6 of my friends are pregnat and about every single other one smokes or drinks.It is pathetic and it has gotten so out of hand that nobody can help.

i cant believe it

in health we heard about a 67 year old with a blood alcohol level of .912

also, at a football game, there was a 7th grader that was really really drunk. he had to get his stomach pumped.

I think what's sad is that we're so used to underage drinking.
