This is really weird!!!***UPDATE on page 3***

Wish that was all I spent each time we visited. I think I spend that in food alone.

Out of curiosity, what do you find wrong with it?

They spent $900 on a one day shopping trip to the Magic Kingdom?

:p :p

Honestly, over $200 in stuffed animals and souvenirs? That's over 20% of their budget.

Yah, I kind of don't get it. What is wrong with it?

My family of four went for 10 days, used the fairy tale package and priceline and wound up spending around 3,200 total for airfare, park tickets, food, hotels, car rental etc.

They spent a lot of money eating out....:earseek:

Why did they say they stayed 2 days and bought only a one day park hopper? That is hardly a disney experience!

It's not that I find anything wrong...just weird! The 1 day hopper tickets...where did those come from? I didn't know there was a such thing.
The Allstars at such a low rate a night....I can't even get that as a FL resident, I was told that's a CM rate only.

So if she's trying to help those go to Disney on a budget, she got things not available to everyone. That's the only problem I had.

How were they able to get the Florida resident rate through a friend?! I thought you needed proof of that when you checked in? At least we've always had to show id for our discount. :scratchin

the whole breakdown of funds seems really wierd to me. like tf said... $200+ on stuffed animals when their total budget is $900?

Yah it is kind of a crazy article. I thought you were MAD about it. I saw it as insane, but nothing to get mad about.

Maybe I should write a book about Disney on a budget....I've got it down to a science!

I hope she doesn't lose that light-up sword, we are on about our 3rd one for DS.;)
I also thought the Florida rate needed to be proven. Oh well. We have DVC.

Oh, Okay....Now I see.....I thought you were mad as well....Also, I only looked at the total, not the breakdown quite as much.

After all the time spent in downtown Disney and all the shops when did they even have time to visit the parks???? And why did they pick Fultons??? If they are on a tight budget why one of the most expensive seafood restaurants in all of Disney. And a one day hopper pass??? why even get a hopper pass when they did not even have a half a day to do anything in any one park never mind the travelling time to each park, plus they had three full meals, more time spent. They must have just spent enough time to walk through the entrances just to say they were there. Obviously they could not go on very many rides and go to shows since you have to wait and walk to each. Very confusing article.

:teeth: Hey I Think I know why they spent so much on toys!!!

They were guilt gifts because THEY DIDN'T SPEND ANY TIME IN THE PARKS!!!! ::yes::

A $900 budget for just 2 days huh? I could do that. And i wouldn't start it off by eating at Fulton's either. Don't they still have the menu posted out front?(i didn't look while i was in DTD last month) Last time i looked there was a menu posted out front with clearly amazing prices. And I've never heard of a 1 day park hopper either. I always it was 1 day 1 park only.

I don't think spending $900 in 2 days was being on a budget!! Heck, that's "living it up!"

Yes, that's what I thought. Sounds like she could have been a lot more economical if she had done a little more research prior to the trip. Possibly she could have had a little more money left over for souvenirs or vice versa. Hmmmm.....let me plan her trip, I think I could do it more effectively for under $900!!!

To each's own, I suppose

The $70.27 for ice cream made me wonder!

Okay, so I'm not the ONLY one who thinks that whole article was just totally weird! $900 in two days, ISN'T a budget it IS living it up. I could have done a lot more on $900 than she did and would have had sooooooooooooo much more money left over. :D
