I really need to know whether or not they run the credit cards the minute you book the reservations. Cash is a bit tight this month and my ADRs for my trip happen to start before I believe when the next paycheck for us. My Mom all ready made a face at the word 'prepaid' but I really want to do CRT for the trip. And well it would be best to be able to book on the day I can start booking considering were talking NYE here.

For prepaid ADRs like CRT, plan for it hitting your credit card immediately. For ADRs where it's just a hold then there won't be anything on your credit card at all unless you're a no-show. I don't recall how quickly I saw the HDDR charge on my card when I booked it a couple months ago but I'm pretty sure it was no more than a day or two later that is showed on my account online, possibly even sooner. Plan for immediate.

CRT and the dinner shows (Hoop De Doo, luau, Mickey's Barbecue) have to be paid in full at the time you make the reservation so your credit card will be charged immediately. If you have the regular or deluxe dining plan you can indicate on the reservation that you want to use your dining credits. In this case your credit card won't be charged, although you'll still have to give your cc info for the no show/cancellation guarantee. The cc total will show $0.00 if you use your dining plan.

Just wanted to add...for the ADR's that require a credit card in case of no show, they do ping your card for $1 for each ADR to make sure the card is good. It usually falls off your pending charges after 5 or so days.
