I got an e-mail from Hertz advising me my rental car is over due. NOT!!!!!!!

I extended the rental by phone and even had to give them my new credit card number because the credit card company reissued cards with new numbers.

The reason of this rental is because someone rear ended me and is in the shop awaiting repair........ that should have been done three weeks ago. Allstate Insurance said they would contact them and have the car repaired. I didn't think nothing of it as I thought the shop would call me when it was ready. Well, I call Allstate to see what was happening and found out they failed to assign an adjuster. I called the shop to advise them and they said they where just getting ready to call me to find out what was happening.

As they say "when it rains, it pours".

Anyone want to take an educated guess as to what two companies are on my you know what list right now?

I will dedicate a D.O.R.A. to you because you need it! (Dance of Outrage Revenge and Aggravation.)

Sorry to hear about the accident. I am sure when you called Hertz it was straightened out but that information hadn't caught up with the division that sends the emails.

Hopefully you will have your own car soon.

If Hertz extended the reservation over the phone, jus tell them that in a reply email or in the phone conversation depending on how they contacted you. Note: Asking a rental company to extend a reservation does not always succeed and if it does not succeed then you have to make a new reservation, go back, return the car, and pick up a new car (or the same car if they give you that).

Found that out. Turned out the computer in that office went wacky. I had extended the rental three times the same way with no problem. Sorry for the rant, just that it was a bad day yesterday.
