This crazy weather...

Well, Iowa is getting pounded again right now with severe storms after last night's tornadoes in MN/ND/N. Iowa. We just had a very large rotating wall cloud directly above the building where I work. Like typical Iowans, we were outside in the parking lot watching it.

Thought I'd share some pictures. Sorry for the crappy quality, I only had my cell phone with me.

Now it's raining pretty bad with some hail. Yippee.

The weather this summer has just been crazy so far, hasn't it?

Yikes! It is headed towards us and I just hope DD gets home from camp before it starts...she HATES thunderstorms!

Wow those are cool pictures the weather is also crazy here in Fl thunderstorms almost everyday too

It is nuts. Right now in St. Louis we are 93 and feels like 101. Clouds are beginning to build just from the heat and humidity.

My dd taped some cool pics with a front rolling in the other day.

It's moving pretty fast. It's already mostly past us, should be hitting the Quad Cities here pretty soon. Hopefully she'll make it home before they get there.

Well, we're getting pelted with another round of storms right now. I managed to go outside before the rain and hail started and get some more pictures.

Do you think mother nature would listen if I went outside with a white flag?

It's moving pretty fast. It's already mostly past us, should be hitting the Quad Cities here pretty soon. Hopefully she'll make it home before they get there.

She got home with 20 mins to spare! Then it hit, we are northh of the city and while we had a lot of wind and rain, it wasn't bad. The city got slammed, at least two windows blew out of the Sears (Willis) Tower and some in other buildings downtown. DH headed home early trying to beat the storm but they stopped the train and the last I heard he was just sitting and waiting.

The sun is back out and the worst seems to be over for now but I do see that second system lurking out there in Iowa...you can keep it there!

Good to hear about your DD!

Hopefully this system will miss you. It's pretty bad, lots of flash flooding. My street is starting to flood, the water is up over the curb. I'm on the 2nd floor of my condo building, so I'm not terribly worried... Hopefully the rain stops VERY soon, though.
