This bird is driving me crazy!

Tweet! Tweet! Tweet! Constantly! Only to be broken up occasionally with a wolf whistle or the Mexican Hat Dance. I've snuggled with him, given him some millet, fresh water, etc. He won't shut up!

At least he's not screaming. I have two parakeets and they love to try to outscream each other! I am running out of people to watch them when we are away because once they take them they never want them back!

This is why I am a dog person ..

I used to have 2 parakeets [yes, they do like to outscream each other ]
but then one of them got out of their cage when I was little [I let them out .. gimmie a break I was like 4!] and it flew around my head and I am forever scared of birds.

We have two parakeets who we love. One is definitely the "alpha" and will go into fits at the other, squawking his head off! We think it is but I can see where it would get on someone's nerves.

I wish we could take them out and snuggle them but we are apparently humongous terrifying creatures and we haven't been able to convince them otherwise.

We have a Meyer's parrot who when not getting enough attention will start making the sound of a dot matrix printer and will go for long stretches at a time. Samewith screaches. Thankfully it's been relatively quiet since morning.

I feel your pain! My bird has been so loud lately. She used to twitter and tweet really pretty, do the wolf whistle, Mexican hat dance and Andy Griffith theme. But the dogs have influenced her to try to "bark" in her own squawky obnoxious way. She'll still whistle the songs, but it's mostly squawks and screeches.

I feel your pain. I have a blue crown conure who likes to "jungle call" It is obnoxiously loud. And then there is the senile cockatiel that screams like someone is killing him.

I wouldn't trade the two little buggers for the world.
