I will be the one who has it all wrong at the airport I can see it now.

So now let me ask this really dumb question.... what do with my eyeshadow, soft eyeliner pencil, pressed powder, liquid foundation, mascara, etc is this in the 3-1-1 bag and when I get this bag is it all I can fit in it or are only so many items allowed .

This seems like such a pain the the rear end, but I do understand it.
dd2 sip cup can I have anything in it when I go through like milk or water OR will they make me dump what is in it until I get past them???

there are so many rules since 7 years ago I feel overwhelmed to tell the truth.

ok, let's try and make it easy.

You ONLY need to put liquids and gels in your 3-1-1 bag. So - ask yourself - is it a liquid? is it a gel? if not, don't put it in your 3-1-1 bag. For instance your pressed powder sounds to me like a powder ;) not a liquid or a gel. Same with the pencil - I don't think that you have a liquid pencil ;)

Also, each item must be 3.4oz or 100ml or less in size. Anything larger should go into your checked baggage.

To make it easiest - take all the items in your purse, and seperate out the liquids and gels. Those are the only things that you want to put in your 3-1-1 bag.

Each passenger may have one 3-1-1 bag which can be maximum of one quart, and must have a zip lock top.

Does that help?

And yes, the sippie cup needs to be empty when you go through security. You can buy drinks after you pass through security, but the cup has to be empty as you pass through.
