Thinking of surprising DH with a trip

Hi Everyone!

I'm thinking of surprising DH with a trip to the world this June for our anniversary trip. He thinks we are just staying home this year rather then going on vacation this week. I was thinking I might post on my Facebook a week before our anniversary which would be about 5 days before we leave something like cant wait to be at Epcot next week for our anniversary! I was wondering what everyone would think if something like this was sprung on them. He is currently a full time student so I don't have to worry about a work schedule and he has said he is not going to take summer classes this year for a break. I do all the trip planning and reservations and he is totally happy with that. I don't think I could pull off waking him up the day off just in case he needs to reschedule any appointments and he might notice when I start packing up his stuff lol. TIA for your opinions!

Never done a surprise trip...but my Mom surprised my Dad with a Vegas trip one time. She scheduled it with his boss, picked him up in a limo and they headed directly to the airport. He didn't figure out the detination until their lay-over. He still talks about that trip 25 years later. Why don't you tell him to be sure and not schedule any appointments the day your planning to leave by just telling him you want to spend the day in bed or have the time to fix him Breakfast in Bed, etc. That should work for the appointments. I would just keep telling him, "Boy do I have the breakfast for you". I would bring him a try of cofee and a danish that morning with a card " Saying, "I love you NOW GET DRESSED YOU ARE GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!!!". Might need to put a lid on the coffee in case he flings it across the room in excitement. I am so happy for you both and know you will have a great trip.

I would love to know how it comes out!! I would love it, but I know that my DW could never, ever pull off something like that. She gets too 'cited and can't keep secrets!

I am planning a surprise trip for my husband too! He went back to college and is graduating this summer, so it is his gift from me! The hard part is that I have already started planning this trip and have everything booked, but we don't leave until the first of September! The waiting is going to kill me!

I know what you mean. I just need to make it a week and a half into June and I'm not sure I'll make it lol. I am not good at keeping secrets and am so excited I want to tell him.
