Thinking of renting a 2 bedroom at GC

I am looking to book for ***** 2013.

I would appreciate some advice from experienced renters. Is this difficult to do? Where is the best place to search for available points for this resort at this time-frame?

Can you give me an estimate of what the cost might be? I can't imagine the costs change too much from year to year?

What would be a reasonable amount to pay to rent there?

It was announced at the DVC Annual Meetings that the 2013 point charts will be adjusted from the 2012 charts, so in any even, OP, you'll need to wait until those charts are published. They should be available before the end of January 2012.

Once that info is available, you can calculate how many ponts would be need for your desired resort/room/vacation dates. Average rental price seems to be edging up a little, as dues have also been increasing. While $10 per point has been pretty standard, prices seem to be headed to $11 or $12 per point, especially if booked during the 11 month resort priority window.

Be sure the read the How To Use This Board sticky on the DVC Rent/Trade board for more info on how point rentals work. Be aware that they are private transactions between you and a DVC Owners, Disney/DVC will not step in on either party's behalf if the deal goes sour, or if you need to cancel.

we booked 7 months out there and had no problem. The CSM said not usually hard to book at 7 months ahead either...she said,,3-4 months could be difficult thought.
