Thinking of my budget for our trip...

I am staying with my family of 3 kids ( 8, 7 & 5) and DH and I at the FW Cabins... we will eat all meals there with the exception of 1 chef Mickey's Breakfast and possibly one Trails inn Buffet... Everything else will be made in the cabin to save $$ On meals.. that being said I have saved enough for $100.00 in spending money per day and that is for snacks and all the fun stuff to take home.. should I try for more or do you think this enough.. The kids have been saving their allowance and so far they have $55 USD saved (and they will be getting $25.00 more) ... so they can buy some stuff for themselves.. what do you veterans think.. I have not been since 1994 so I forget some things.. what else is there that I should save for?

Will the kids have a total of $80 or $80 per child? Having $100 per day is great. It's more than enough for souveniers and small snacks.

We were waiting in a line at AK last year and DH got into a convo with another DH and he said that his kids get $100 each spending money for the trip. Do you think $100 is too much for one child to spend on vacation? We give our DD $100 to spend on the entirety of the vacation (we hold it of course).

It will be $80 per child.. they have been saving forever.. actually my kids found some change on the ground the other day and it added up to $2.00 boy were they excited! lol
My kids had to save this money and it is theirs to choose what to buy I will be helping them in that selection too.. I can just imagine what they will choose for $80.00.. lol. that is a ton of junk food.. and that is to last the week

Your budget sounds just like mine, it myself, DH, DD-7,DD-9 and DDS-5, You are taking a $100 a day, packing our lunches and each child has 75.00 to spend on whatever they want for the entire vacation...We will be at the parks for 5 days...so I may throw in some extra cash so my kids can spend 15-20.00 a day on misc. This was something they wanted instead of a birthday gifts. I had all my children in the summer months...June, july August.....

We budget $1,000 for Food, Souv.,and snacks for 2 A 2C (6), for 1 week...I do get about $100 in groceries/snacks from home/grocery stop..(but we share meals/aren't huge fans of breakfast)...so I even think you might have a night off from cooking...or some great purchases!!!
