Does anyone have any tips or advice?

We are not really going to Disney but to my Mom's in Port Charlotte. We can fly into Tampa, Sarasota, Orlando or Fort Myers....

What airlines fly from there? Where do they fly to? I am having a real hateful relationship with Travelocity right now. They show you a lot of flights but when you click on a departure, nothing is available. I have been on there for hours tonight trying Halifax, Moncton, Fredericton, etc. I am so sick and tired of it.

We want to go for about 2 1/2 weeks in Feb. If anyone has ideas...please let me know.

try allegiant air out of bangor direct ot orlando
just booked july 26-aug 6 99 each way good price

try allegiant as mentioned ... they don't fly to MCO, but since Disney transportation is no concern then this is fine. I would also recommend jetblue from Portland Maine ... no bag fees! or Air Tran .... Bag fees You can book directly through their website. (PWM to MCO) Also, check Continental (Bag fees) for departures from Halifax to MCO,

There is a thread a page or two deep on this forum that gives some fare info

Here it is ...

Please post what you get!

try using kayak to compare prices www.kayak.comPortland is usually cheaper than Bangor and there are more flights jet blue and Airtran offer direct flights from Portland

We have flown from Bangor to Florida a few times now and I really think it's the way to go, especially now with all of the regulations in regards to carry-on bags, etc.
It's about a 3 hour drive for us so we usually leave the day before our departure flight and stay at the Sheraton, which is the hotel located in the airport. They offer the park and fly option. It makes for an easy day of travel when your already at the airport, get your bags together and walk to your terminal. It's a small airport which I love, can't get lost!
I have flown Delta a couple times and with American once. Had no problem with either but I prefer Delta because we were connected in Boston, with American we connected in New York which I really didn't like.
Good Luck!:goodvibes

We've used Delta out of Bangor 4 times and have always got the best price from them. Allegiant is cheap but they fly to Sanford and on fly on certain days I believe.

We stay at the Sheraton as well. It is a bit more but it certainly is very convenient.
