We had Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace booked and now I'm thinking of changing to Liberty Tree Tavern and 1900 Park Fare. Any thoughts?

We want to do at least one meal with the "classic" characters which is why we were going to Chef Mickey's plus CM is a tradition for us. We have always gone there, but the last time we went we were pretty unhappy with the service and the character interaction so I think it's time for a change.

I only booked CP because I read so many great things about it, but the kids really aren't that in to the Pooh characters. I think they would prefer the characters at 1900 Park Fare and I've also read good things about that dinner, so I'm hoping I made a good choice here.

Why is dining so stressful?!?!

As far as LTT goes, it does have the traditional characters, true, but if I were to pick a place for the food I'd definitely go for CP. I'm not a fan of 1900 Pk Fare's dinner, but breakfast is pretty good.

If you're going to dump CM's ADR (which I can't blame you as I haven't been thrilled with food or service there) I'd trade for LTT because you get the classic characters there. 1900 Pk Fare's dinner is Cinderella and friends, and breakfast is Mary Poppins, Mad Hatter, Alice In Wonderland, Pooh and Eeyore (mostly the British characters I believe),they do rotate. You might want to keep your CP ADR because it's always a good thing to have one in the park because if you change your mind you may not be able to get in without one.

The only problem w/ LTT if you're looking for Mickey Mouse (as one of the "classic" characters) is he's not normally at LTT. The characters at LTT are normally Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Chip, & Dale.

If you want to see Mickey Mouse, the Garden Grill (in The Land Showcase at EPCOT) might be a good choice - unless you're trying to pick a restaurant in or near MK. The Garden Grill generally gets good reviews on the food, & I think the characters are Mickey, Pluto, Chip, & Dale (I think).

If you're not into Pooh characters, I would probably pick 1900 Park Fare too. While the buffet at the Crystal Palace is good, I've read just as many good reviews for the food at 1900 Park Fare as well.

We like the lunch buffet at Crystal Palace (nice "break" in the middle of the day) - the only reasons we haven't yet eaten at 1900 Park Fare are because we see most of those characters at the other restaurants at which we eat & because they don't serve lunch. But I came *this close* to changing our ADR from CM's to 1900 Park Fare because I've read so many good things about it & I've always wanted to try it.

There are so many wonderful options at Disney & it's so hard to narrow your list down!! :teeth:

I would change CP to LLT if you are planning to stay in the park...and just want a good meal. If you think you want to head out of the park and go to the hotel or get a break...then go with 1900 PF. I am going there for the first time in March...my friend raves about it. I would not get rid of CM if you are going for breakfast...it is one of our must do's too! :goodvibes

We just got back and we did 1900 park fare and we would never go back here. The food was just ok and the tables are so close together and it was really loud. We wished we would have gone somewhere else instead. At least we will know for next time.

It's yours to change do it and enjoy. Have a great trip.
