So I'm thinking of buying the DVC AP with the 13 month expire this time around as well. However, I already have my magic band for trip coming up in 3 weeks and I have an old 10 day no expire pass with how ever many days are left attached to the MB. I've already linked FP's and Dining reservations to my magic band as well.

I call MS and they told me if I order the AP they can make it a priority for usage, but I'm very leary of that actually working and wouldn't know until I get to the entrance and go to guest services. I'm afraid that my no expire days will be used instead. Anyone have any experience or opinions on the this?

Thanks,
Dee

Hi Dee,
We had 8 day tickets planned for our trip we just took and had all our fastpasses, etc. mated with those tickets. We decided to renew our DVC AP when the 13 month promo came out. It was easy to go to Guest Services at Disney Springs and ask them to prioritize the DVC AP as the ticket media we wanted to use. Once they did that, then our APs were the ones that were used for entrance and all our fastpasses and dining reservations were all the same using the magic bands we had already received for the trip. Don't worry and have a great time!!!

We were able to prioritize the tickets too. Only thing that stinks is that you can't do it yourself. We had already entered the park and it took at day off then non-expiration ones but they were able to fix it. We were told that they are correctly ordered now but there is no way to check this on MDE.

Thank you. May not buy it. It's a trip to Disney Springs to prioritize it? That can't be done anywhere else except inside a park? That's pretty inconvenient and time consuming since we don't have plans to go to Disney Springs. Guest services inside Disney Springs is behind Arribas Brothers and Ghirardelli's right? So bus in and walk to and then bus back. That's an entire morning. Don't think it will work with our current itinerary. But thank you for all your answers.

You can do it at any Guest Service window. All parks have them OUTSIDE the parks. You don't go in a park to reach a guest services window.

^Yes, just go to Guest Services OUTSIDE ANY park!! They all have windows before you enter the park!!

WONDERFUL! Thank you! Should I order it now through DVC and get the will call number? I'm going in 9 days....or do I wait to get there? I can't believe after almost 17 years of being a DVC'er and 40 trips, I don't know these things! LOVE these boards!

TIA
Diane

You can also order it online. That's what I did last week. You still have to go to guest services and pick the actual passes up and since you have to go there anyway, not a big deal. Since you do have to go there and already have your MB's and FP's I think it is up to you what you want to do - either way will work. :) Have a great trip!

Be sure to allow extra time for guest services when you do it at the park....there is usually a long line outside the parks by mid-morning. We are not early birds so someone who goes to rope drop may be able to tell you whether there's a long line early in the morning.
