Thinking of buying Crocs...do they make your feet sweat?

Sorry if this is a dumb question....but these things look like they're made of plastic. Are you supposed to wear them with socks? Or bare feet?

Maybe I'm being too critical, but Plastic shoes + Florida heat = sweaty feet, right?

I live in the Philly area and I swear I've never even seen these things except here on the Dis, so it's not like I can see how you're supposed to wear them

No they are not plastic. They are a different kind of material that is a bit like a rubbery foam. I bought a pair and hated them. They gave me a huge blister on the top of my feet but others rave about them. I guess it is all in how your foot is shaped

I wear mine around the house without socks no problem. I have not had them long enough to wear them in hot weather. I know I will be wearing them when I go to Disney...but socks or not will depend on the weather.

Nope--my feet didn't sweat at all wearing them (usually started off with socks when it was chilly in the am and then took them off in the afternoon). My feet sweated much more in my sneakers! I am a total Croc convert after last week at the World!

I live in Florida, and they do not make my feet sweat at all. In fact, Crocs are the only shoes I like to wear to the parks because they are SO comfortable!

I wore them everyday on my December trip and I loved them. Did not hurt my feet at all. I'm even wearing them to work in a downtown office building in New Orleans. They are the most comfortable shoes ever.

Crocs are the best!!! Your feet will not know what has happen to them. You can wear them with or without socks. Some people just die at the thought of Crocs with socks, but Crocs sell special socks with dots in just the right places to show through the holes. I have a pair of knock offs from allheart.com and they are just about as good as my real crocs. I am planning to purchase a new round of Crocs for the family before the summer.

I wear socks with my Aspen Crocs(no holes). I do not wear socks with the Beach Crocs(holes). My feet do not sweat with either shoes. I wore them all over WDW in December and my feet never hurt. Normally my feet would be killing me by the end of the first day.
