Thinking of buying at VWL, have a few ???

We are thinking of buying at VWL and would buy 150 points. My questions are:

1. What is the current price per point and is there a price increase on the horizon?
2. What is the minimum points for an add on? We plan on adding on at BC when it's available.
3. Do they still offer magical beginnings? We plan on taking the tour when we're there in Aug, so are hopeful.
4. If we own at both VWL and BC do we get the 11 month window for both resorts? And can we use our points together?
5. Any other information you think would be helpful!!!!

Current price is $75 pp and was just increased earlier this month from $72. Current wisdom (our DIS collective guess) is that price pp will be at or over $80 by the time BCV is selling. Minimum new purchase is 150 points and current min add on is 25 points with cash, 50 with financing and 100 to us the Magical Beginnings program.

You get the home resort priority window of 11 months only using the actual points owned at your home resort. If you own 150 at WLV and 50 at BCV and want to make reservations at BC, you can only do so with the 50 points. You could bank and borrow to get more points for home priority. Owning 2 resorts is not an end road to getting home resort priority with all of your points at both resorts. You can use your points at the none home resort for those points at the 7 month window.

If you mostly want BCV, you may want to wait until they start selling. Also, don't forget resales. I've already seen 3 WLV for sale on the market. Just remember that on new purchases DVC pays closing where on resales, you likely will. Good luck.

The price just increased from $72 to $75/point so I don't think there is another increase in the immediate future.

The minimum number of points for an add on is 25 if you pay cash, 50 if you want to finance through disney finance.

3. Do they still offer magical beginnings? We plan on taking the tour when we're there in Aug, so are hopeful.

They do, however it doesn't seem like as good a deal anymore since they only credit you $5/point for MB now instead of the $10 it used to be.

4. If we own at both VWL and BC do we get the 11 month window for both resorts? And can we use our points together?

You get the 11 month window at both resorts for the number of points you own at each resort. Yes, you may use your points together at a single resort but only at the 7 month window. Depending on how many points you plan to add on you may have better luck banking/borrowing with your two contracts to have double your point alottment at a single resort for any one trip.

5. Any other information you think would be helpful!!!!

Nothing I can think of offhand except the VWL is a beautiful place!
