Looking at neat things to do for the next trip May 27th to June 4th, my DVC cast member today suggested the "PIRATES AND PALS FIREWORKS VOYAGE ".

One night we have a 1900 Park Fare reservation for 7pm, and Wishes is at 10pm. I'm not sure how much time is usually spent at a 1900 park fare dinner, or how much time before wishes the pirates voyage starts. I'd like to do it that day, as my daughters have a morning appointment at the BB Boutique, and my son at the pirate's league, but I don't want to rush from dinner to the voyage.

My other option is the night we have a reservation at Chef Mickey's for 5:30pm, with wishes again at 10pm. This might be the opposite issue, where there may be too much time between dinner and the voyage.

Has anyone done this fireworks show? Is it worth the price, and which night would you recommend?

Hi we did this last year. I MO you would be better off when you are at Chef Mickeys. I think it started at 8.30 and you might have a wait but the Contempory is fun to walk around and good photo opportunities. We had great fun.

I'm not sure how old your kids are or how quickly you eat dinner- especially at a buffet.
In my family when the kids were younger, 90 minutes was way more than enough to eat at a buffet. You are in control of the timing- you go up and get your food whenever you want it. So for us, an hour- even with characters- was usually plenty of time.

I'd do it on the 1900 Park Fare night.

I got my 1900 park fare moved from 7pm to 4:55pm. That way I could book the Pirates trip without worrying about hurrying through dinner.
