Thinking ahead..??? re:MNSSHP

While I've been to MVMCP many times, I've never done the Halloween party before. We'll be there in late Oct this coming fall and both the birthday girls want to do MNSSHP. So....can someone give me the historic days of the week that they have the party? I'm hoping for a Tuesday or Sunday night...we'll be there from the 21st to the 26th. Thanks.

You will be there the same time as us! Where are you staying? I hate to tell you, but according to my ressie, the party nights that week are Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. We are planning on going Saturday. Maybe we will see you there!!

We're at BWV!! I'm going to have to work my ADR's around this party, so wanted to know what nights to plan for. Maybe either Sat or Mon...dd has requested HDDR for her birthday dinner....booked it a year ago for Wed, the 25th, so that let's that night out.
You say they told you on your reservation the nights/dates for next years? Terrific. I'll try for Monday, since Sat is a travel day for us and the girls will be beat. Thanks.

I love MNSSHP. We went to MVMCp this past year but both years before did the Halloween one. Go on a weekday if at all possible. We did a Tuesday and a Wednesday and both were great.

Sorry but the party dates are not out yet. They are never out this early. Last year the 'tentative' dates were known around the middle of April. The tickets and dates were finally released April 30.

The parties have always been Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and have NEVER been on a Saturday night. Saturday is way too busy and popular a day to ever close at 6:00p for MNSSHP or MVMCP. That's the day most get to see Spectro and Wishes.

On my other computer upstairs I have all previous year's dates/days of the parties if anyone is interested. They are always Sun, Tues, Thurs and Fri.

We went this past October 7th (Friday night) to MNSSHP and it was not crowded at all. We walked onto everything. I would think the closer you get to Halloween the more crowded it would be. We plan on going back again too this year.

Should I just 'assume' (knowing what happens when you do that!!!) that they will hold a party on a Tuesday night and book for that night? I think I can start booking ADR's around April 25 or so....might I luck out and they will have released the dates by then?? So that would be on Tuesday, Oct 24, or Sunday, Oct 22...dare to dream.

I think it's a safe bet that you will have parties on that Sun and Tues nights. I also think there probably will be 'tentative' dates out by then but you never know.

I'd just book the restaurant you want for the night you want and then see what happens the end of April/beginning of May when, hopefully, the tickets are released.

It's so weird being able to book ADRs so early isn't it!?!

I think that you are getting 2005 dates. If you take the 2005 dates and look at Oct on the 2006 calendar they correspond to the exact days of the week you listed previously. Check and see if your are being given the dates below... if so then I think that is what's happening... the computer hasn't been updated with the 2006 dates yet.

The dates for 2005 are: September 30, October 2, 6, 7, 11, 13, 16, 20, 21, 23, 25, 27, 28, 30, 31

This is what I was told when I called to make our HDDR ADR's. Also trying to coordinate around potential MNSSHP dates so I asked what days they typically were and we picked a Wedsday as that has "historically" been a safe day. Of course I'm flexible when actual dates are released.

We have gone on those nights and also a Friday night. I can say with certainty that the Friday night one was very crowded and unpleasant. We also went in the beg. or middle of the month not the end when it got more crowded. HTH

My DH and I went the first night - it was a Friday at the end of September. It wasn't crowded at all. We loved it. My Hubby and I actually prefer MNSSHP over MVMCP.

We had ADRs at Tony's at 6:00pm. Dinner was okay. The CMs were excellent - they were all made up to look pretty scary. We'd probably do it again just because they looked so good.

Never said I was all knowing but I can guarantee you those dates/nights are not the correct 2006 dates.

Looks like we'll be there at the same time, but you'll be cruising also. What night are you planning on doing MNSSHP? Since we have HDDR booked for 10/25, it will be either the Tues or Sun before that.

We'll be at WDW on Oct 21 and then cruise Oct 22 thru Oct 26 and then at WDW again Oct 26 thru Oct 29. I'm 99% sure we're doing the party on Thurs, Oct 26. I avoid Fridays due to the locals.

I've never gone before, but since we'll be there Oct. 15-21, it's a MUST DO this time. I just know my kids will love it (as will we).

Can anyone tell me where I'll find the dates, when they become available (I think I read April). Are they easy to find on the WDW site? Also, can I order tickets online or do I just call the Disney number? Is it hard to get tickets if I'm on the lookout for them as soon as they are available?
