I have been lurking on here and looking at pics and the pictures and the brides and everything is just so pretty. I am a pretty big Disney freak, fiance not so much but he likes going to the world...anyways

I don't know where to start about getting information. I guess I want a general idea of how things work and pricing...

What we want would be something small, probably 30 people or less. I keep seeing things about packages based on certain days and how many people. But how much would something small like that cost?

Also, is it wrong to have people pay for their own airfare and hotel?

I am assuming you would have to go to Disney to see things and what not, how often do you end up going?

And how far in advance did you have to book? Is 18 months a good time frame to begin the planning?

All in all we want something small and affordable and any info would help. Thanks!

You can find a lot of ideas here, and from Carrie's passporter book.

With 30, you'll have to do a Wishes wedding. There are minimums for a Mon-Thurs it's 12k, fri& sun 15k, sat 20k.

If you only have 18 guests you can do an escape wedding for roughly 5k (i don't remember exact numbers) but that doesn't include a reception just a cake cutting.

Not wrong at all, actually normal. Our guests will be paying for their own rooms. I did put our parents rooms into our budget, but they are paying for the wedding, so I didn't want any added surprised costs, they didn't think about.

I'm going a little before 1 year, to see my site ideas, and again around 6 months to plan everything.

you book 1 year for some locations and 8 months for the wedding pavilion. You can get a consultant that will help with the planning at 18 months out.

we've found Disney to be cheaper then locations here in Atlanta that fit our style.
