Getawaytoday is keeping ticket prices lower thru Sunday, and I need help deciding if i shoud purchase 4 for my adult kids tru them now! Yes, the savings would mean character meals, $200! Are there any downsides to my thinking? Do i pick them up myself, since i am purchasing them? And where? Tia!

I would love some feedback on this as well. I am considering doing our 3day park hoppers through them. I called to confirm that their 3day park hoppers include a magic morning, and she said they do, but it doesn't say that anywhere on their website and it makes me nervous.

I hope this is the real thing, b/c it would save us about $150!

ive hard alot of good about them and yes any 3day hopper has mm it says it on the site. ive been reading the site inside out the last three days. I did write them for some questions answered and am waiting. I will order my package this week before the deal is up. I have heard they can send them to you or yo can pick them up not sure if that's true or not. Picking them up at ticket booth might not be so hard I just haven't done that part before.

They don't send them to you. You just pick them up at the ticket booth with a picture ID, super easy!

We bought tickets last week after reading the thread about the ticket increases; luckily I read to the end of the thread as I was sobbing that I missed the chance to buy 6 day passes at a reasonable rate and was looking for some hope. I saw the link and called them right away.

I would encourage you to call; they were so nice and helpful on the phone. I had lots of questions about the tickets and she was able to answer all my questions and I felt very confident. We don't go until the 13th, but I think it sounds pretty easy as pp mentioned.

We just bought our tickets through GAT. For $10 you can get insurance so that if anything comes up and you have to cancel, you can get your money back. I find this reassuring. Tickets so expensive, it gives me peace of mind.

I bought ours from GAT this morning. Tips like this are why I am so grateful to have the disboards and all of you sharing your knowledge! You just saved us a little over $150 - that's a big deal!!!

Just got of the phone with getaway today myself! I was postponing purchasing my kids tickets for 2 reasons. My DS might breakup with his GF before the holidays.....you never know! And my SIL will be in rotation in med school, and might not be able to get the time off for Disnely AND Christmas....I vote if he had to choose, he takes the holidays off, not our trip. HOWEVER, with the "piece of mind" insurance for $10 it will cover those instances if something changes in our planning and they will refund the unneeded tickets. That is huge for me!! The saving actually pays for hotel stays for one family!!! My trip is booked and paid for, I will order their PH tonight, and all I have to pay off now is hotels for them when it gets a little closer!!!:woohoo:
PS....sorry about all the typo's is original post! I was on my ipad and it hates certain letters!!

That's it you've convinced me and I thank you for it!!
I just love the savings. Thanks!

We bought our 3 day PH from GAT. Picked them up at the ticket booth the night before we went to the parks. Super easy! Just had to show id. and confirmation to pick them up and we were good to go the next morning. They did include the MM. Have fun! :yay:

On the mousesavers.com site there is a link to purchase discounted tickets through ares travel. The price appears to be the same as GAT and I was ready to purchase. The asked for arrival date so I was planning on calling as I have my overall travel dates set, but not the actual first day we are going to visit the parks. Is there any benefit to ordering through GAT over ares? I am a DL first timer. We were going to buy the 6 day PH as we are visiting family who have annual passes.

Thanks!
Kerry

I do not know what the differances between the 2 might be. While I perconally have never ordered thru getaway (always have booked thru WDT or Costco), I know several people who book thru getaway, and loved them One other point worth mentioning, if you are booked thru a Disney resort hotel, I was told yesterday you can pick up your tickets at their counter INSTEAD of the tickets gates. IT was a great thing for me as we are staying at PPH, so I wont have another stop to make before my kids arrive.

Nothing really, in fact I ordered our 2 day hoppers for our upcoming visit through ARES *price was a few dollars cheaper through ARES* GAT is based 20 minutes from my house, my DS's friend's dad works for GAT, am I loyal - nope I want the best deal, their prices for character meals is lower than ARES so I'll go through them for those.

I've used both ARES & GAT in the past, no problems with either.

Getawaytoday is an awesome place to use. We had a vacation planned and paid for, changed 4 different times before we had to all together cancel a month ago. They were always upbeat and helpful on the phone. Keep in mind, they will match prices. So, say you find a 4 nights 5 day package on Costco, let them know and they will match that price.
I cannot say enough good things about them. When we can think about planning a trip again, Getawaytoday will be the first place I look. They are awesome. Plus, the cost of their trip insurance is great. Also, they put out codes for a $10 discount sometimes, maybe someone has that, or you can google it.

I ended up purchasing four 6 day PHers through getaway today. The ticket prices were the same as ares travel and I liked the 'piece of mind' insurance for $10. And ares travel had a $2 fee per ticket so for $2 more I get the insurance. Thanks to all of of the posters in this thread!
