We have a breakfast ADR for Kona in October because I keep hearing how wonderful the macadamia pancakes and tonga toast are. So now I have a decision to make - which one do I order?? Or do I order both and just ignore the people whispering to each other about the porker eating 2 breakfasts? :rolleyes1

Never tried the pancakes but the tonga toast is as good as everyone says, better even!

Your on vacation go for both!!! You'll walk off the extra calories anyway! Or that is what I always tell myself when I'm there!

Do what I do, make your spouse get one and you get the other and you have the best of both worlds :goodvibes

I would say definitely don't get both for yourself - the pancakes were so filling, I couldn't even finish half!

I'd go for the Tonga Toast. :goodvibes It was just so sweet and delicious, but the strawberry compote was slightly tart and helped cut some of the sweetness. Some people think it's almost sickly sweet, but I finished the whole thing (and yet I couldn't handle the pancakes :confused3). I really didn't like Tonga Toast when I got it at Captain Cook's - the strawberry compote at Kona makes all the difference, IMO.

Both are definitely worth trying. It just doesn't seem possible to do justice to both in one sitting (unless someone's helping you ;)).

Somebody correct me, but aren't the pancakes part of the big breakfast platter at Kona? If they are, get hubby to get this and you get Tonga Toast, so you can share!

No one is watching you eat just like your not watching what people at other tables eats.
