Hi All,

My fam and I have been to WDW many times but never to DL. I have no idea how many days to allot to this trip. What fun things are nearby that we might want to try? What hotel do you recommend? We are considering travelling in October. Is there a Type of MNSSHP there?

Any ideas will be grealy appreciated!
Thank you!

You should read this thread. It will tell you a lot about what hotel to stay in and what else to try. It's for WDW vets.

I would give DLR 3-5 days.

Yes it also has a Halloween party. Last fall it was on Tuesday and Friday all through October. It was very popular so they may stretch the season or add days.

3 nights/4 days minimum.....possibly more. :)

See the links above & below.....lots & lots of info.

What hotel do you recommend?

If you're a deluxe WDW hotel person....stay onsite. If you're a mod or value person, consider a hotel on Harbor Blvd. Either way.....stay within walking distance so you don't have to ride any buses. One of DLR's charms is you don't ever need to get on a bus. :thumbsup2

Yes.

The link that Skiingfast posted is definitely the starting point for all WDW vets....essential reading.

Check out the Halloween at DLR Superthread - Part 2.

There is lots of info on the first page (and it will be updated as breaking news for this year comes in), including:

Links to Halloween blogs and Trip Reports;
A list of seasonal treats;
A press release from last year that details seasonal highlights;
Links to essential threads or info pertaining to Halloween Time;
A Table of Contents (by Belle Ella) with all sorts of links to some fantastic Halloween photos (such as Haunted Mansion Holiday and the Halloween Round-Up); and
A Halloween Time Q&A (by iKristin) that addresses some often-asked questions

On Page 2 of the Halloween Superthread, you will find a specific post (by funatdisney) devoted to the MHP - Mickey's Halloween Party - with dates and rates from last year (which will be updated when the 2011 party info comes in).

Feel free to join us there, jump in at any time and ask questions.

I would say that you need an absolute minimum of 3 full days at DLR, but more than likely 4 or 5 full days. By October, the Little Mermaid ride will be open and in full swing (it debuts in June), as will the new version of Star Tours. Crowds will have increased a bit by that time. Halloween Time has gotten very popular at DLR!
